God Himself metnions NO denominations in the Bible. As I've said, there was NO OTHER Christian faith except Catholicism until the Reformation; there was no need for the authors of the Bible (which didn't include God himself writing with his Almighty pen) to name denomations, there were none.
Wrong! There was no religion period.
God did not tell us about any Roman religion either, until Revelation time.

St Joseph is mostly common buried upside down facing the house. Some say that this tradition goes back from what is called the "degradation of the saints". At that time the tradition was that you threatened the saints by burying them and with that saying to the saints "I will keep you with your head down in the dirt until you sell my house for me".
Now days, the tradition to bury a statue of St Joseph is still the same, but it's not very common to threaten him, instead we pray to his good will and pray that he will help us with a fast, smooth and profitable sale.

Honestly, I thought it weird too, the first time I ever heard it. Which was in the last house I bought as the people referenced that they had to come get it.

I think you mean the Church was created by Constantine - and that was several hundred years after Christ lived. Your interpretations are just that - interpretations. How on earth could the church know who the second and third pope were? Where are these records?
Why is there nothing in the NT about these things other than the church built on a rock line - which could be interpreted very differently.
You cannot tell me a church that hides and supports homosexual pedophile priests TO THIS DAY has anything to do with Christ. That along with the worship of Mary, the additional tracts, the evil popes, sprinkling of babies to save them, indulgences, purgatory, etc, etc. Your claim that persistence is proof of validity bears no merit - Satan is more persistent than all - except God.
The U.N. is a totally corrupted organization and we read today the pope feels it the vehicle for a new world order. You believe the pope, I'll continue to believe Christ.
FYI regarding POPES, yes we have records and witnesses!
http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/12272b.htm

YOU need to study more newbie, this was already covered I’ll post it again for you.
Catholics (universal) Christians were the underground religion… for fear of being persecuted. Can you understand this….???? Thanks be to God for the CONVERSION of Constantine, for then we were able to OPENLY practice our faith IN JESUS!

WORLD HISTORY
“When Emperor Constantine legalized Christianity in AD 312, there were ALREADY many MILLIONS of Christians in the empire. What was their life like? In one sense, it was no different from the lives of their pagan neighbors. In another sense, their faith made all the difference in the world.”
“These were the neighborhoods where the Christians lived. Yet Christian homes were somehow different, and that difference was among the great and silent means of evangelization”
“...Heedless of danger, they took charge of the sick, attending their every need and ministering to them in Christ — and with them departed this life serenely happy; for they were infected by others with the disease, drawing on themselves the sickness of their neighbors and cheerfully accepting their pains.”

Regarding the priests? How do you know they are homosexuals? Did you test them?
Are you sure you are not confusing our church for the protestant church that actually have open gay Bishops? Google ‘Gene Robinson + gay,’ you will find he is openly gay living in a sinful partnership. Many protestant churches even marry gays.

So DO NOT throw stones!!!!

Well, I can say you are getting close to an answer, but I still see a hint of double talk in this statement.

How is it that you are "in the Church", but yet not able to make any decisions? Not even about yourself? Like Buckster stated, you are not in the "church" because you seemed to have given the authority to make even those 'decisions' about yourSelf, to the "Church".
John from NJ wrote:
<quoted text>Do I agree with all of the assorted ways folks misunderstand what is in the Bible? No.
Neither do I. We do agree on this point.
John from NJ wrote:
<quoted text>I will stick with what Christ taught and what the Apostles taught over the individualistic and confused and contradictory ideas that people try to pass off as "Christianity".
Aaaah....the words in "red". Aren't they colorful?

But you have allowed your "church" to only use part of Jesus' words and teachings and only texts attributed to six of the apostles. So again, you are also confused, because, like them, you only use what has been given to you by certain men.

I can understand how you can be confused.

Regarding infant baptizes.….
Again, when did you change it? Why did you change it? You never answered my question.
Confusion between Protestants.

1)Some baptize infants, some DO NOT.(Lutheran, Methodist, Episcopalians, Anglicans, Presbyterian, Wesley’s, DO)
(Baptists, Little Independent Churches Do Not) Who’s right?
2)Some baptize, more then once.(huh?)

<quoted text>Amen.
Off-topic, but informative:

Origin of "Amen"
http://www.seiyaku.com/customs/amen.html

From old Egyptian texts we can see that people regarded the Sun as the emblem of the Creator. They called the Sun Ra, and all other gods and goddesses were forms of the Creator. One of these gods was Amen; a secret, hidden and mysterious god named variously Amen, Amon, Amun, Ammon and Amounra. For the first eleven dynasties (c. 3000-1987 B.C.) Amen was just a minor god, but by the 17th dynasty (c. 1500 B.C.) he had been elevated to be the national god of southern Egypt. This position gave Amen the attributes and characteristics of the most ancient gods, and his name became Amen-Ra, that is, a supreme form of God the Creator. By the 18th Dynasty (1539-1295 B.C.) a college had been established to study Amen-Ra and as a focal point for worship.

.....

"Finally, we may note that the word Amen occurs not infrequently in early Christian inscriptions, and that it was often introduced into anathemas and gnostic spells. Moreover, as the Greek letters which form Amen according to their numerical values total 99 (alpha=1, mu=40, epsilon=8, nu=50), this number often appears in inscriptions, especially of Egyptian origin, and a sort of magical efficacy seems to have been attributed to its symbol."

(Catholic Encyclopedia Vol. 1; 1907)

Additional proof that the Book of Numbers was not the first use of the word, based upon estimated dates that Numbers was written in.

Please show your support that the "Book of Life" exists. Otherwise, please do not make the claim that you know who is and who is not in that "book".

Your statement can be considered as a judgment that has already fallen. How do you know this?

Are you trying to create fear in others -'just in case you name is not in this book'....etc...etc....into believing the same as you?

Why?

Why would you be afraid of someone else? Don't you have "God's love" to protect you?

If the latter is the case, then why are you even here? Berating others, insulting them because YOU don't like how they believe? That sounds to me, to be a personal issue that you need to resolve.

Examine yourself.

Schism is just that schism.

Being in or being out does not apply.

If the schism was healed then things would simply revert to what was.

You, on the other hand may need to be Baptized, and would definitely need to Chrismated to come into the Church since you never were.
