....What would God think about all the scandals and corruption going on in your church?
NOTHING!!!!!!!His only concern would be regarding the ( less than 2 percent) worldwide of the sexually abusive priests that have " turned their back" on their priestly vocations, their Catholic faith and HIS Catholic Church that He formed, initiated and established over 2000 years ago!

....A small percentage of every dollar that catholics put in the collection baskets around the world ends up in the Vatican bank.
....,We now know this is the second money laundering Vatican bank scandal since 1985.
.....When Bernie Madoff was laundering money catholics were OUTRAGED!
....... When the Vatican bank does it catholics don't get mad at the church wrongdoing, they lash out at those that report this vital information.
..,...Does that make any common sense? Of course not.
...STOP GIVING MONEY until the Vatican cleans up anther mess created by them.
That's because the RCC god is IMMORAL, so Catholics and fake Catholics (Protestants) are also immoral.

My God has never murdered anyone, except by accident.

Chuck,
It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit,
Look at the rest of the verse.....
who have tasted the heavenly gift......
What is the heavenly gift???(personal experience)
who have shared in the Holy Spirit.....
They "have become partakers of the Holy Spirit."
What does all of this mean, Chuck???
Tasted the heavenly gift is not equivalent to salvation. Again, tasted is a temporary thing; it doesn't last.

....Money laundering Vatican bank scandal #2. Now what would God think about that?

1....would God think it was fine?
2....would God think its wrong?
3....would God say, oh no not again!
4....would God say, why are catholics not responding to this most serious matter?

.....being a betting man 2,3,4 should be the appropriate answers.....I would say.

God uses the Holy Spirit to draw sinners. If they reject, were there still partakers? Was the Holy Spirit still convicting them?
Chuck,

They were partakers of the Holy Spirit......

Does the Spirit of God dwell in someone who has not been converted???

What is the "heavenly gift" that Jesus offers????
Now....
Notice how far they had fallen!
It was now "impossible....(for what???) to renew them again to repentance."
And,.....so it is apparent that Christians can "fall away."
It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit

there is not one word used in connection with salvation. You don't find the word justification, sanctification, new birth, regeneration, born again, made holy, made righteous.

all you read about is once enlightened.

The word dwell is not in play here Hank. They were partakers, they participated.

Good Morning Chuck

Peace

I am not so sure, what you are saying is absolutely true. That is to say that some enlightened minds(spirits) are regenerated. But likewise, some unenlightened minds are regenerated.

I think one needs to look into the regeneration, as in this life as being born-again, and in the next life as resurrected.

Most of us our enlightened in some way, usually by experience, which leads to prudence. Though I am to slow to be considered both....

If you were raised as a Muslim, your so-called "understanding" would be of Islam.

How far do you think that would "get you" in the realm of "understanding" truth?

You refuse to thing further than your own indoctrination, and that keeps you nailed in your own little box of certainty.

It's the game that fools choose to play.

Because you are all certain your mindsets are aligned to TRUTH.

That haughty attitude makes you WANT to fight to prove to your selves and others that you are RIGHT.

Amen Chuck. There are people on this forum that would tell you Hebrews 6:4, "For it is impossible, in the case of those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, and have shared in the Holy Spirit," is speaking about a believer losing their salvation. You, Chuck, are correct. Enlightened is not the same as regenerated. Thank you...thank you...thank you. OldJG

the good thing about the Bible is that it will Bear Witness to itself.

Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

here we see that Peter is telling Christians that they have been Partakers of the Divine nature of Jesus Christ.

and here;If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and are overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning.[EXACTLY LIKE THE TESTIMONY OF LTM].

Those who are in religions, ONLY favor the most favorable words spoken and written about their own religions.

They perceive that other people's religions are for the most part evil or simply false and not at all worthy of investment.

ROME SWEET HOME by Scott and Kimberly Hahn … our journey to Catholicism

Foreword

There are no tapes more in demand and more extensively and enthusiastically shared among American Catholics today than the Hahn tapes. Now we have the full version of their story. It will be met with spiritual mouths as open as those of young robins.
