Blessings.
Now that is a low blow against Confrinting with the word. He's used to using those types of scriptures against others.

Score-bored***a-head***... One insult for the Catholics and one for the Protestants.

Those scriptures come in "RIGHT" handy for serious preachers to damn each other to hell ... all in the name of LOVE of course.

TAKE THE BIBLE AN PROVE MY POST TO BE FALSE...
i AM WILLING STAKE MY ETERNAL LIFE ON THE FACT THAT YOU CAN'T...
You can't even say that you have eternal life...all you have is conjecture
that is not founded upon the word of God...
You have nothing to look forward to...
Heb 10:27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
Heb 10:28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
Heb 10:29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who
hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant,
wherewith he was/could be sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the
Spirit of grace?
Not very good at judging others, huh? Especially when you need to use other men to do it.

I suggest that the word Ihcuc in Greek will not show up on an English word search unless the word is attached to the word Jesus IN the search.

We are not on a Greek-conversing forum.

The Catholic Church on "Sacraments"

The Catholic Church teaches that the "sacraments" (not a biblical word or doctrine) are necessary for salvation (Baptism, Confirmation, the Eucharist or Mass (Communion), Penance (confession), Matrimony, Anointing the Sick, Holy Orders (ordination of a priest)).

"Sacraments. Outward signs or sacred actions...through which grace is channeled...When the Sacraments are administered validly and the recipient is properly disposed, the Sacraments attain their ends infallibly, that is, grace is automatically communicated to the recipient. Thus, the Sacraments perpetuate Christ's Redemptive Action." (Dictionary of the Liturgy, p. 561)

I've said this many times...nothing angers me or frustrates me here. Ever. I'm secure in my faith and although I do occasionally, purely in the form of humor, use adjectives to describe some folks here, I have never made sexually demeaning comments to other posters.
You on the other hand, a self-described protestant deacon, name call here almost every day, have made some of the most vulgar and disgusting sexually demeaning suggestions directed at posters of anyone who's been here.
My thoughts? You're using a bad translation.
OldJG = Husker?? Either way, personal sexual remarks does not have a place in this forum.

How about it Catholic?? You champion "traditions" as your main stay.. you trump the Word of God with your "traditions".

ITB, in support of same, quotes "Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle."

Paul was preaching to his fellow Jews on their Jewish traditionary law. To my knowledge only the Catholics lie about following these traditions when they have no idea what the tradionary law is!!!!

There are 613 Commandments in this law.......What are the first ten (10)????

ITB has no clue...can any of you help her answer my question??????

What The Word of God Says On Salvation...which the catliks deny!!!!

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:9-13

"Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved." Acts 16:30-31

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." Ephesians 2:8,9

You didn't mention that "my" quote is from Scripture: "Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle." (2 Thess. 2:15)

What makes you think Paul was telling the faithful to "stand fast, and hold" traditional Jewish laws? Do you really think your response makes any sense at all?

And the second wise man of the Jewish faith said ... "Let's kill him."
And so it came to pass as more bull-cookies that the wise Jewish men allowed Jesus to live.
