I love how you defend the immoral concept of collective guilt and punishment.
No Court of Law in the Western World holds the children guilty for the sins of a father.
But you defend it. Your religion is immoral at its core, by today's standards at least.
And no doubt you would view it as unfair if you were put in jail, because it was discovered that your father had committed a crime before you were even born.
You would rightly say that would be unjust and immoral.
Yes! Except when it comes to judging others by your religious "principles."
Sick stuff.
Gods R Delusions

I never said the sins of the father go to the sons.....

So if your father who is now deceased in a gun fight yesterday from a bank robbery, had given you the money, you believe by rights you inherited the money, and you are not obliged to give that money back....Hmmmm.

And if you lived in Germany as a Nazi, you should not pay for any war crimes from WWII, because you only followed orders....Hmmmm.

We live in a time, not unlike other times, when money and power corrupt justice as lawlessness breeds its own....

(By the way, courts in the Western world are as corrupt(ed) as any in any other part of the world.)

That's really comical. What you are very slowly finding and writing in the forum is exactly what I was talking about. >>>KNOWLEDGE< <<
You are becoming your own arrogant contradiction. You state that you don't want to "know' what you consider "mysteries", and are content in being ignorant...yet you continue to seek and use that which you condemn when it suits your fancy. You are a hypocrite who simply enjoys defaming and defacing everyone and everything around you...so much so, that I don't even bother correcting blatant errors or outright lies you may posit...as it is so obvious to your peers.

Happy new year.

The problem with the Catholics was, they didn't create their own god. They were so underhanded that they begged the god of the Jews to commit adultery on the Jews and in turn love only those of the Catholic faith.

But then the Muslims pulled the same trick and claimed that the one god loved ONLY them.

And sucking the hind tit in the race came the Protestants, who bragged about corralling all god's love for their selves.

What a greedy lot of groupies.

And all in the name of LOVE of one's fellow man!

Had Jesus even lived, I suggest that having been a learned Rabbi, he would hold fast to that position and always be a Rabbi.
It would make no sense whatsoever for him to be playing with Catholics in the river Jordon and saying to John the Catholic "saint" ... "I want you to baptize me as a Catholic!"
Silly stuff indeed!
You and that Arab guy musck or what ever the hell his name is would make a cute couple.

Had you stayed clear of all religion, I would say that you were at least balanced and not willing to play favorites, as was the case when you slid back into Catholicism.
Who knows where you wander off to in the next of your confusion?
June

Well good then. At least I am consistent in being a dumb, ignorant fool, in your eyes.

Now lets tackle the issue of being balanced, and not playing favorites....

Since I don't subscribe to your belief that a person in religion must go around condemning others to hell, then I don't play favorites.

And if it is expedient for me to be pursue Catholicism, or Protestantism, this may or may not be backsliding from your perspective, or any other person, but if it is expedient to me, then I am moving forward, even if the whole universe moves in another direction....But since my pursuit is neither one of these, but simply vehicles to my end goal, which is Jesus Christ, then you neither knew my vehicle, nor my goal....

Those that preach holiness are often the most scary people of all, as they tend to believe that evil only resides in others.

Bob Larson is one creepy man ... teaching his daughters that they have the power to exorcize demons out of others.

YUCK!

Olam Ha-Ba: The Afterlife

Biblical References to the Afterlife

Some scholars claim that belief in the afterlife is a teaching that developed late in Jewish history. It is true that the Torah emphasizes immediate, concrete, physical rewards and punishments rather than abstract future ones.

Well..., if the machine is broken, then get somebody who is capable of fixing it, t go ahead and fix it.
The Creator is the only one that can fix the problem with sin in humanity, but people still don't want to, or refuse to listen(or just the parts they like)....
(Fooled you. I didn't take the easy "free will" root.)smiles
You did fool me on the free will thing. Bravo.

OK, we agree that a Creator is the only one who can fix his own mistakes. But when you say the mistake is due to "sin," (a concept that about 75% of humanity don't have a clue).

You say people "don't want to listen" or "refuse to listen?"

Listen to who? Listen to what?

We all agree that at least 95% of mankind's religious dogma is BS -- all except mine, and maybe yours.

You reject 95% of man's religious dogma. I reject 100%.

We are in 95% agreement. Cool. We agree about all religious delusions except yours.

Hey Oldcly, Sola Scripture makes more sense than ever before. Thank you.
FYI.. http://christiananswers.net/q-eden/sola-scrip ...
<quoted text>
Who is this "we" you are referring to? The Roman Catholic church? You and they are so full of it. You and they are a part of satan's deception. FYI here are the first TWO paragraphs from the website I referenced in my quote listed above: http://christiananswers.net/q-eden/sola-scrip ...
The sixteenth century Reformation was responsible for restoring to the Church the principle of Sola Scriptura, a principle that had been operative within the Church from the very beginning of the post apostolic age.
Initially the apostles taught orally, but with the close of the apostolic age, all special revelation that God wanted preserved for man was codified in the written Scriptures. Sola Scriptura is the teaching, founded on the Scriptures themselves, that there is only one special revelation from God that man possesses today, the written Scriptures or the Bible.
<quoted text>
OldSlyCly, said, quote, "Given the fact of how the bible developed; historical fact, scientific fact, archeological fact; it should be blatantly obvious there needs to be more than just scripture." End quote.
Historic.....scientific......a rchaeological facts??? Where is the word inspiration. The Bible is God's divine revelation to man by INSPIRATION of the Holy Spirit. The men that wrote the Bible were willing vessels. Just as Mary was a willing vessel and nothing more than a vessel. We praise her for being willing but God did the miracles, not Mary. Her righteousness is nothing more than "filthy rags". Comprende'
Misrepresent? Look in the mirror? No, you need to take a deep and long look into the mirror. You are Roman not "catholic". When you place the word Roman in front of the word "catholic" you corrupt it and it becomes Roman "Catholic" which is nothing more than saying Roman Empire.
So tomorrow if I leave the Cathedral of St. Paul (a Roman Catholic Church where I'm a member) and join the Saint John's Byzantine Catholic Church in Minneapolis, which would be ok with my 'Roman' Catholic Church, but would it be ok to you? You couldn't call me a Roman Catholic anymore. That title doesn't fit the community of Saint John in Mpls.
Scratch your ignorant brain on that..

If an all-knowing creator exists, it used its free will to create all forms of animals that it knew (AHEAD OF TIME) would suffer emotionally and physically.

Three cheers as in (father, son and holy ghost) for the "loving" creator's free will!

People find tolerance of beliefs by hanging out in groups of people that have the same beliefs.

I suggest that forums are not a place to even expect to find tolerance.
