I agree. That is why the religious philosophers created the word FAITH.

Odium theologicum (o di um the o loj ikim)(Lat.). The bitter hatred of rival theologians. No wars so sanguinary as holy wars; no persecutions so relentless as religious persecutions; no hatred so bitter as theological hatred.
How true!

"The bitter hatred of rival theologians. No wars so sanguinary as holy wars; no persecutions so relentless as religious persecutions; no hatred so bitter as theological hatred."

Why? Because they follow an immoral god, a buffoon of a god.

This highly-defective god thus turns them into immoral buffoons.

Forgive their hatred June, for they know not what they do.

The Jews that adhere to the one-god dogma are anti-Semitic against the teaching of Jews in polytheism that came before them

Religion is full of horrors concerning wars over whose religion would rule, and whose religion would be obliterated by the winners of the wars.

What a shame that we still have preachers going on about knowing truth ... rather than admitting that they don't know answers to mysteries.

This group of Jews believed in forced conversion, even of other Jews.

The Maccabees also spelled Machabees Machabi (Latin) or Machado from Latin (marculatum) that means "Hammer" (Greek/) were a Jewish rebel army that took control of Judea, which had been a client state of the Seleucid Empire. They founded the Hasmonean dynasty, which ruled from 164 BCE to 63 BCE, reasserting the Jewish religion, expanding the boundaries of the Land of Israel, by conquest, which included instances of forced conversion, reducing the influence of Hellenism and Hellenistic Judaism.

St. John uses "Babylon" as the code word for Rome....unless you think it refers to something else?
Regardless, do you believe that unless an historical event is explicitly described in scripture it didn't occur? That kind of moronic idea would get you laughed out of even an evangelical university.
Correct.

How do you know he was a Cathjolic Priest? He said so? LOL! You believe everything someone tells you? Well he could have been a priest, one that has no duties, Maybe he was ill and retired, because we have a shortage of priests and the priests I know, and I know a lot, are too busy to post on their facebook and surely would not have time to post on a forum like Topix..

The Jews were a powerful military presence before Christianity existed to war against the Jews.

WAR ... WAR ... and MORE WAR, as the right-fighters used religious dogmatic man-created rules to make others over into their slaves.

Martin Luther was also the stuff of Nazism. He was a Jew-hater, and he learned that from his Catholic peers in his previous religion.
Luther had quite the imagination ... but I suggest his concept of truth, as occurred with all religious preachers, was based on nothing but fantasy.
>>>>>>> >>>>>>> >>>>>>> >>>>>>> >>>>>>> >>>>>>
When Luther created the Protestant church, he realized it would be necessary to wean German children off of St. Nick, so he created Krist Kindle, the winged Christ cherub, who also flew and brought gifts to good children ~ but which instead focused the celebration around Christ. He came on Christmas Eve at Christ's birthday, which more closely coincides with the Winter Solstice, around which pagan religion celebrated the return of the Sun's light.

The only problem is that there is no proof of your mysticism nor the RCC's version.
The irony is that instead of reason and logic, in order the counter RCC dogma, you are forced to use the RCC's own sacred book.
Absurd.
More proof that mine is the only true God.

Speaking of fun, how that prayer stuff working out? Have you given up modern medical science yet?

Clay fell flat on his face on this one....anyone else want to try answering my questions????

Clay say:
The Vatican never said "Roman Catholic" only true Church. They said "Catholic Church". The title of this thread is misleading. Of course you know this already don't you. You demonstrate a willingness to lie and cheat daily, Oxbow.
There are 23 Catholic Churches of Christ throughout the world.(Ethiopian, Syrian, Coptic to name a few) Rome is the world wide headquarters because that's where Peter died while setting it up, but "Roman Catholic" is no more truer than the others.. That's why the Vatican would never single themselves out thereby insulting the other Churches who are also in communion with Pope Francis. Just like the Universal Churches 2,000 yrs ago were in communion with Peter, the Churches now are in communion with his successor, the Bishop of Rome.
-----
Mah response:
And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

It do not say: And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my churches; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against them.

So, the question remains...whom built the other churches......
