Wow!! we can become a new person in Christ without even knowing Him. I'm afraid to ask but where do you get that from? Please don't say baptism again, you don't know Christ at 3 months old.
You don't properly understand scripture. You don't believe baptism does anything, that's why you don't understand it and why your beliefs are so different from the first Christians.

Faith AND baptism. Jesus said it.
Where does He say in what order they have to be?
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.”

So there is no reason why Jesus said make disciples first and then baptize?

Really Tony...really?

Nothing in the Didache contradicts the Catholic faith. Like the Bible, it is not a complete word for word detail of the Christian faith.
I get that it's,not complete ..But EHAT it does say is,about fasting???

The Didache and Scriptures were written while the first generation of Christians were alive. It was a general belief that Christ's return was imminent. They believed the necessity of baptism, that it conveyed grace and was the act of being born again of water and the Spirit, putting on Christ and entrance to the Church. As Christians lived on and started having children, they baptized them as soon as possible.
Ok but the,first Generation had,babies,too..And I know,they thought HE,was,coming soon
A gist for us,in their realizing they should leave a,written word for the next generation

But also no talk in First Century??? of TransubstAntiation in this, work ..

So one can have a relationship with Christ even if the individual does not have faith in Christ.

lol...sad Tony. Look what that church has done with your thinking.

Catholics use this verse to support infant baptism:
15 Now they were bringing even infants to him that he might touch them. And when the disciples saw it, they rebuked them. 16 But Jesus called them to him, saying,“Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God. 17 Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it.”

**Tony...why do you suppose Jesus didn't baptize these children if in fact baptism saves us?

**wait... I got the catholic answer, "it doesn't say He didn't baptize them".

That is what your parents and your Catholic theologians WANTED you to believe.

:)

The Jewish theologians taught their followers entirely different theology.

No, I never said they were wrong, I just said Jesus and the apostles are clearer in other passages about the necessity of and salvific nature of baptism.

So it wasn't until after Peter was baptized, he became a disciple...interesting. That's not what my Bible says.
