As you here in the forum... probably have taken note...
I don't argue the supposed history of The Roman Catholic Church...
I disclaim the whole nine yards...
Why argue against an assumed entity ...
that has no Biblical reason for it's
existence in the word of God...
Well lets keep it real, you have no choice but to 'not argue the history of the Catholic Church'.
Likewise, you have no choice to ignore the writings of the Apostolic fathers either. Historic facts ruin your scenario on Christianity and definition of sacred scripture. We're simply left with 66 Books of the Protestant Bible and your interpretations of it.

"why argue with a supposed entity... That has no Biblical reason for its existence in the word of God"

Never mind of course, that this 'entity' is the reason why you have part of the Bible to beat them over the head with. You would have no knowledge of it had they not held council in the 4th century to establish the canon. Nor would you have one on your nite stand next to your bed, had the Church not publish it in 1452.

The above scriptures alone disclaim the fable of purgatory..
it says..
Rev 22:11 He that is unjust,
let him be unjust still: and
he which is filthy,
let him be filthy still: and
he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and
he that is holy,
let him be holy still.
Rev 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and
my reward is with me,
to give every man according
as his work shall be.
Those scripture verses do not disclaim purgatory. They disclaim sola fide, but not purgatory.

So you believe What Adam and Eve believed.... that conjecture takes

preeminence over God's word....

You are in for your own rude awakening just as they experienced...

only your separation from God will have no ending...

You deny Him now ...it will be eternal with no redeemer to bail you out.

You have already reject Him...

Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Joh 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.

Joh 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Joh 1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

Joh 1:5 And

the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

___

YOU EVIDENTLY HATE THE LIGHT...

Joh 3:19 And this is the condemnation,

that light is come into the world, and

men loved darkness rather than light,

because their deeds were evil.

Joh 3:20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light,

neither cometh to the light,

lest his deeds should be reproved.

Joh 3:21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light,

that his deeds may be made manifest,

that they are wrought in God.

I/we as Catholics will leave the distorting, lying and twisting of the TRUTH to you bible only "fundies". You Protestant "fundamentalists" have become "experts" at deceiving others with your half-truth, half-heresy Christianity.

I never denied the Divinity of Christ..

You deny the truth taught by your own vatacan: Christ, Jesus - The incarnate Son of God and the redeemer of the human race....based on Scripture...

You call God a liar...He said of Christ:

Mt 3:17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

Mt 17:5 While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.

Mr 1:11 And there came a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

Mr 9:7 And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.

Lu 3:22 And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.

Lu 9:35 And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.

Hold on now. You've said Christ was not God in the past. That would eliminate His Divinity.

Yes, the Catholic Church teaches that Jesus is the Son of God, but they also teach He is God the Son; One being with the father. To say otherwise would eliminate His divinity.

Would you believe!!!!!!

ROME – In an effort to modernize one of the oldest practices of the Roman Catholic religion, the Vatican is offering indulgences–a reduction of time spent in purgatory–to those who will follow Pope Francis next Monday on Twitter and other social media during World Youth Day.

Indulgences were one of the key contentions that sparked the Protestant Reformation during the 16th century through the efforts of Martin Luther, a monk who served the Roman Catholic Church in Wittenburg, Germany. As Luther began studying the Scriptures after he was appointed as Chair of Biblical Theology, he became consumed with a passion to discover what it meant to be a Christian. In the Catholic Church, he had seen men trying to earn their way to Heaven, but as he read the Bible, he realized that salvation was through faith in Christ alone.

“I think I’ve found the truth at last,” the classic film Martin Luther depicts Luther as stating to a Church official.“By faith man lives and is righteous, not by what he does for himself, be it adoration of relics, singing of masses, pilgrimages to Rome, purchase of pardon for his sins, but by faith in what God has done for him already through His Son.”

Following the revelation, Luther began to challenge the doctrines of the Roman Catholic Church, compiling a list of 95 thesis where he asserted that Catholic doctrine contradicted the Scriptures. He was later summoned to appear before a meeting of the Church, and was declared a heretic and excommunicated.

The offering of indulgences has continued throughout the ages, and has evolved in a variety of ways–including the Vatican’s latest addition to the pitch, to grant a reduction of time in purgatory to those who complete the exercises “with due devotion, via the new means of social communication.” The offer is only one of a number of accepted tasks, and the social media proposition was presented to in order to include those who could not attend the pilgrimage event in Brazil in person, as outlined from a document released by the Vatican.

If Oreilly had actually investigated thoroughly history and studied history he would have come to the historical conclusion that Jesus died on the cross and rose again.
It is a Historical Fact.
So many great minds have come to this conclusion this is a historical fact and they cannot deny it.
One example is SIMON GREENLEAF and American the father of Modern day Evidential Law one of Harvard's greatest professors when challenged by his students to test the facts of history in light of evidence became a believer. He came to the conclusion that the evidence was undeniable Jesus Rose from the dead it was a historical fact.

Like most Roman Catholics O'rielly is being politically correct he is trying to please men all be it conservative but never the less non believers.
I really don't think so ..I think he is trying to prove there are facts
OUTSIDE scripture That prove Jesus lived
Which secularists debunk ALL THE TIME ..

I did not read his other books,..But I think he is going o be scorned on these interview, shows, those, people hate GOD

DIDN'T one of the greatest books come at Jesus from NON BELIEF.

SOME folks out there do not think he existed . I've read their posts .

But I will read this and watch before I decide :)

Then get Lee Strobel's Case for Christ which will bring all sorts of Historians with huge credentials to the table that show Orielly the Politically correct right wing pandering conservative he is.
He would not be able to articulate the Gospel as revealed in scripture as his faith is in the RCC the institution not Jesus.

Show me where they teach that Christ and God are one God...show me the Holy Trinity showing God and Christ are one God......

Show me where they say the very definition of Saviour is wrong:
soter: a deliverer, i.e. God or Christ:--saviour.

Do you know what "or" means??????!!!!

Show me where they say God is lying in the Scripture I showed you...
