They aren't attributable to Jesus.
It's ancient Mosaic law.
There is only GOD in your theology. How are you going to get around THAT issue?

Did he lie when he inspired men to write those ancient laws and only now is he telling the truth?

Be careful,'cause if the god is real, he might like you inferring that he ever lied ... even ONCE.

Silly dogmas for silly people!

Are you saying you will follow Jesus, but not "God"?
You are confused or delibrately trying to confuse others by twisting your way through the posts of others.
God's will is more powerful than that of the son as theology teaches to respect and obey your parents.

So Jesus should have also been killing other humans, as that was his own father's will.

If you aren't confused ... you should be confused.

It's not by chance that religion drove more than a few people insane.

And for even more crazy theology...

Jesus' father was a Jew and his mother was a Catholic saint.

So that means to obey his mother and father, he had to be half in Judaism with the Jews and half in Catholicism with the Catholics.

IMHO - Jesus didn't preach anything to do with killing other humans. And if he did, like the below teaching, it was a metaphor of the how the Spirit is within us.
He should have, or he and his father were not one. God wanted humans to kill each other. If Jesus preached otherwise, he was not aligned to his father's will.

You can't play the game both ways and make it fit.

And by the way, opinions are NEVER humble.

I was reading a statement made by a poster here and it brought yet another Bible event to my mind. Most Christians are totally ignorant of so many things in scripture that it is a shame yet they consider themselves to be Bible scholars DON'T THEY ATEMCOWBOY,LOL?

In the book of Genesis when it states that Ham saw his father Noah's nakedness when Noah got drunk, they actually think that it is actually talking about Ham seeing his father naked. That's not what this is speaking of at all. Scripture tells us that to have sex with your father's wife is to see your fathers nakedness. What Ham did whgile Noah was sleeping off his druken stupor was Ham had sex with his mother,Noah's wife and she became pregnant with Canaan as a result.

These so called Christians actually are totally unaware of this.

The following scriptures give the definition of what it means to uncover your fathers nakedness.

LEVITICUS 18;7,8

LEVITICUS 20:11

To uncover your fathers nakedness does NOT mean to see your father naked but rather it means that you slept with your mother aka your fathers wife.

How many of you so called Christians here were totally unaware of this?

That's what Ham, Noah's son did. He slept with his mother while Noah was sleeping off a druken stupor.

I guess Noah decided that after the flood and all that, he needed a stiff drink,LOL.

We Orthodox need to be grateful that we have a LIVING monastic presence that has enough VITALITY to stand up even to a Patriarch, who is pushing for ecumenism and reunion with the Catholic Church:

CORRECTING THE RECORD ON THE ATTACKS TODAY AGAINST THE ESPHIGMENOU MONKS

ATHENS, GREECE -- Statement from John Rigas, President of Friends of Esphigmenou Monastery on Mt. Athos:

"I just spoke with one of the Esphigmenou monks, Father Sava, and want to correct the record about the ongoing attacks against the monastery today.
This morning, a group of around 20 large armed men armed attacked the Esphigmenou monastery building in Karyes, Mt. Athos where the monks were engaged in quiet prayer.

This is the 12th day that the monastery has been under siege.

The monks twice asked for the men to leave in peace after a city clerk attempted to serve them with eviction papers.

Then the 20 large men attempted to smash their way into the monastery building with a construction bulldozer. As you can see in the

Uniformed Greek police stood around while a bulldozer attacked the property and attempted to smash down the front door
.

This bulldozer came within 15 centimeters of killing a defenseless monk (who was behind the door and did sustain injuries) with its steel blade .

Contrary to media reports, they did NOT throw any bombs. I specifically asked Fr. Sava about these alleged “bombs” and he said that they do not have bombs and did not throw any bombs.

It appears Greek government officials are trying to cover up their complicity in these lawless and criminal activities by spreading false reports to media outlet now that their nefarious activity has been exposed.

The video of the attack shows that there is no evidence of bombs or aggressive action by the monks.

UPDATE: More than 80 armed Greek police currently surround monastery building filled with peaceful monks who only want to be left alone to pray. Now the government has cut off their water supply. The monks continue to pray for peace and ask for the prayers of the faithful and appeal to the Mother of God for protection.

Monks at Esphigmenou have already died at the hands of the government due to lack of food, water and medical supplies. Now the government almost killed a monk today with a bulldozer.

Yet you claim to follow the whole truth of Jesus whom you obviously believe was/is the epitome of holiness.
I believe you are totally arrogant, but you don't see it because as do all religious right-fighters ... the view of holiness is always on the self, and outsiders are chastised for "not doing it RIGHT."
You are a sinner, I am a sinner, the difference between you and me is, I am a redeemed sinner you are not.
You who doesn't believe in God has a lot to say about who God will or will not spend time with.
Its not that God doesn't want to spend time with us,
God will spend time with anyone, people don't want to spend time with Him
Why do you keep assuming , something about someone you don't believe in.
You must be a barrel of fun in a crowd, with you doing all the talking no one gets a word in edge wise

WHO SHOULD BE BAPTIZED? WHO IS THE PROPER CANDIDATE?

Only a saved man should be baptized. That means one who has believed on Jesus Christ and by faith has received Him as their personal Savior.

Acts 8:26-39, the Eunuch asked to be baptized. When the Eunuch desired to be baptized Philip said to him, "If thou believeth with all thine heart, thou mayest." The eunuch confessed he did believe and was then baptized. Note that in V38, they left the chariot and went down into the water and after the Eunuch was baptized by immersion they came up out of the water. Clearly this is baptism by immersion.(More will be said on that a little further)

If a lost man is baptized then it is a picture of a lie. If a lost man who has not believed in Jesus Christ and is baptized the symbolism is saying he is confessing he believes in Jesus Christ as his Savior when in fact he does not. No one should be baptized who does not have a clear testimony of believing in Jesus Christ alone for their salvation.

The Biblical mode of Baptism is to be immersed. Sprinkling, pouring, etc. are not biblical modes of baptism. These practices do not picture the death, burial and resurrection of Christ. The Greek word is "baptizo" means to immerse and has no other meaning. When the Bible was being translated the translators were told to translate the word "baptizo "in a neutral way so as not to offend the Catholics who sprinkled or the New Testament churches that immersed. So the translators compromised and transliterated the word baptizo into new English word "baptism." However, the Greek text is emphatic that the word means to immerse or dip into the water. Sprinkling is not baptism. God is very clear on this.

Any other mode of baptism makes light of the death and resurrection of Christ. Those that practice these false methods of baptism have not obeyed the first commandment of their professed Lord. God choose the method of baptism to be a picture of the Gospel the person who is being baptized is identifying himself with Christ.

Baptism is to be done in the name of God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Matt. 28:19-20. In this passage, called the "Great Commission" Jesus commanded that believers were to go into the world and preach the Gospel and baptize them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Both the evangelism of the world and baptism were to be done in the name of the Trinity. Biblical baptisms are those that are done by true Bible believing assemblies that follow the New Testament as its sole rule and authority for its faith and practice. God has not given any church or individual the right to change what He put in place and instructed.

Some false modern churches baptize in Jesus' name only. That is a violation of God's word and denies the Trinity. The reason these false churches baptize in Jesus' name only is that they do not believe in the Trinity and thus are false churches believing and practicing a false religion. They are a false church preaching a false Gospel and baptism.
