When a women dies in an abortion clinic in America, the religious right ballyhoos day after week after month after year about the issue. But not once do they tell the truth that having abortion clinics available saved the lives of countless women. NOT ONCE!!! The reason IS, they work for an invisible imaginary god and they don't give a rat's ass about what would happen to women if abortion clinics were closed.
>>>>>>> >>>>>>> >>>>>>> >>>>>>> >>>>>>> >>>>>>> >>>>

From the book “Chronology of Women’s History,” by Kirstin Olsen, comes the following.

In India, a woman dies about every ten minutes from a botched abortion. Abortion is legal in India in many cases, but many women in rural areas have no access to clinics.

AWWW knock it off Robert. You love your religion because you believe heaven is designed for you and hell is designed for others.

If you didn't ... you would still BE an Atheist. And that is the truth.

"If a god exists"
- reflects undetermined or not proven

'the god does not give a rat's ass about who suffers from poverty"
- reflects the person making the statement 'knows" what a god can or cannot do.

I don't believe you have any knowledge of what a god can or cannot do, so with you expressing it in such a manner - by using the word IF, only shows how you are unsure as well.

I'd been more content if you just lead off with "IMO", before responding to me inthe future.

This puts the discussion in a speculative manner and eliminates any conjecture you may want to dispose of, even though you really don't have proof of any related statements you amy make.

Sounds good?

You suffer from the vainglory that you deserve heaven and others deserve hell.

That is supreme vanity and nothing BUT!

If the issue was reversed you would not be a Catholic or of any other religion ... and you know it.

Nobody on earth says "I am proud to belong to this religion because I believe 'I' will go to hell.

NOT on your life!!!

So I suggest you stop lying to me. I see through you.

BTW - I've expressed my concern to "God" - about "His" lack of involvement with suffering, the poor, the homeless, the starving, the children who have frozen to death on Christmas day trying to get to their home, etc.

You are right, "God" has no control over this world.

I've only express my OPINION of a spiritual "God" - which may or may not reside in a supposed spiritual realm.

Since I have not died, I really can only specualte about what I believe. All answers to these supposed truths will be revealed when I die. I can live with that.

If the god or goddess doesn't care now ... I suggest that if they exist ... they won't care in any supposed hereafter.

They would be just as stupid and uncaring as now is the case on earth.

It's common sense that when little babies are screaming for food ... if an all-powerful deity doesn't do anything ... then it either doesn't exist, or it is a heartless with no conscience whatsoever.

I prefer to believe that no creator exists than to believe that a creator is a sadist.

The Word of God (Jesus) said the bread is His body, the wine His blood and that we must eat it to have eternal life. The written Word says the same thing. Neither Jesus nor the bible say it is just a symbol.
Now who's really ignoring the bible?
**********
1Co 10:4 And did ALL drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that SPIRITUAL ROCK that followed them: and THAT ROCK WAS CHRIST.
(Did they drink blood?)
1Co 10:5 But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.
(Though they drank of Christ they remained followers of evil and were overthrown in the wilderness.)
1Co 10:6 Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.
1Co 10:7 Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.
1Co 10:8 Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.
1Co 10:9 Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.
1Co 10:10 Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.
1Co 10:11 Now all these things happened unto them for examples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
1Co 10:12 Wherefore let him that thinks he stands take heed lest he fall.
1Co 10:13 There has no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that you may be able to bear it.
1Co 10:14 Wherefore, my dearly beloved, FLEE FROM IDOLATRY (murmuring, tempting Christ, fornication).
1Co 10:15 I speak as to wise men; judge ye what I say.
1Co 10:16 The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the COMMUNION of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the COMMUNION of the body of Christ?
(Communion...Greek...partnersh ip, fellowship, association. The 'communion of the blood and body of Christ is to become 'associated' with Him; no longer murmurers, Christ tempters or fornicators. If your 'communion' or Eucharist has not made you 'associated with Him in holiness, you are yet as the 'sinners' in the wilderness who drank of that Rock, Christ Jesus, but remained in their sins.)(This forum reveals a lot, doesn't it?)
1Co 10:17 For WE being many ARE ONE BREAD AND ONE BODY: for WE ARE ALL PARTAKERS OF THAT ONE BREAD.
(Most of us claim to be 'Christian'...are WE ONE BREAD...ONE BODY?)
KayMarie
So is it your position that your communion is a spiritual Christ? Or is just symbolic? Why do so many sola scriptura protestants say it's only a symbol?

Your turn. Is your statement that the pope is not infallible an infallible statement?
Still can't express a simple statement, so you continue to pussy-foot around it.

"Yes, he's incapable of teaching error" is not expressly saying the Pope is infallible.

You instead decided to go with the sidetrack - "he's incapable of teaching error."

BTW - All men are fallible including the Pope. All men fall short of "God".

Wanna try again and be honest with me by stating "the Pope is infallible"?

Or is just too hard of a statement to make?

We'll see by your next response to this post, huh?

Shoot - they went missing for over 1500 years.....you'd also want to let the world know they have been discovered.
Unless you would rather continue to wallow in the lies that Christianity has/had expressed?
New Age Spiritual Leader:

Its probably not an either/or question of wallowing in lies, but one of unrealized fear, and being misunderstood....

Questioning the orthodox, can be a often a source of misunderstanding. I can see the concern on both sides of the issue.

I don't see Christians en masse, walking away from Christianity because of the Nag-Hammadi Library..., though some might have had that fear.

Correction. I walked away WITHOUT FEAR.

Many fear to walk away, because they fail to understand what Jesus taught. I blame that on Christianity, for severing Jesus into two people - one that they wish to promote, and the other that shows how Jesus was a complete man with a complete teaching philosophy.

Christianity has failed its followers and its followers have failed at being honest about it.
