Silly selfish people!

The child has but one father, the father but one bride. There is only one Jesus.

Again, Jesus gave the book of Revelation where we find that Harlot on seven hills of Rome.

Why do you believe that a god (in his right mind) would FAVOR Protestants and disown all those in other religions and those not in religions?
How old are you anyway ... about 12?

The same reason BC God had a tribe of Israel - his people. Before then His people were the Sons of God (Adam through Noah). God has always had a people who follow only him (1st commandment).

And his Sabbath is the 7th day - Today. It is a commemoration of creation and the Creator.

No, not liars. Luther and the other Reformers were right about papal antichrist. They correctly understood what the Bible records for us!

And here is Luther again with his own perception of what certain scriptures meant to him.

From the book,“History of Christianity,” by Clyde L. Manschreck … comes the following…………..

God mysteriously, gratuitously chooses some to be saved. These are the elect.

Yes it was gone over quite a bit. Which topic hasn't? However they will believe what they want and continue to tell us what we believe and why regardless. I just wanted you to see where their tradition derives from. Also you can see the ingorance of Rose as we have so often seen the ingorance of so called former Catholics whose knowledge of the faith is severely lacking.
Many Protestant scholars of which there are many who after deep study convert to the church say that the novelties they thought they had unraveled were often seen as ho hum everyone knows that. The gotcha moments sink into the abyss as they discover these things were known from the beginning and addressed in greater detail and understanding than they could have imagined. All they could see is those stupid Catholics who don't know anything many admitting they would not even read Catholic books old or new. Cardinal Newman summed it up nicely. To know history is to cease to be Protestant.
So when does invicible ignorance end? How many times have they repeated lies, Jesuit oaths, out of context statements, dozens of different interpretations among them, the Pope is God, inquistion fantasies, crusades, made up history, worshipping Mary, you are only ones who abuse, all priests are homosexuals, the church just made up books blah blah, blah. The willful ignorance is truly amazing. However despite what topic it is they throw out another barrage of garbage rather than answering and do not address the argument given in part or whole. Its amazing.
I just read Roses reply. lol You cant have an intelligent dialogue with someone like her. She only sees what she wants to see. However Catholics may strenthen their faith from it. These people have no desire to learn anything they have all they need and clealy each and everyone of them is guided by the Holy Spirit. So there are numerous truths. Who knew? Its all done nothing left to do.
It is frustrating, that's for sure. I don't want to be mean to her because I don't think she can help it. I'm sure she's a very nice person. But that's exactly who the victims of these errors usually are, they're so easily swayed by every wind of doctrine. Then there are the wise-asses (yoo-hoo, chuckie, I said a bad word!) In those cases, it's usually divorce and remarriage or homosexuality, contraception, abortion, or (fill in the blank). Whatever makes them more comfortable in this life.

I think it's far beyond strengthening our faith at this point. If you accept insults and name calling without any protest, you're worthy of their attention. I remember a time not too long ago when the Catholic faithful would not tolerate that kind of behavior on this board. Now it seems to be the order of the day. No real good has come from accepting that, and it never will. It certainly won't change their attitude. It's only made it worse than ever.

Invincible ignorance only goes so far but, thankfully, it's not our job to determine that.

Luther was not starving as were the peasants. He was well-fed and taken care of by the followers who were certain Luther was beating their new-found path to "heaven."
>>>>>>> >>>>>>> >>>>>>> >>>>>>> >>>>>>>

From the book,“History of Christianity,” by Clyde L. Manschreck … comes the following…………..

Luther believed that the sword of government had been given by God to the princes, and the peasants, even though treated unjustly, were not justified in taking the sword into their own hands. In his eyes they had become robbers and murderers, faithless and perjured. In his infamous essay, in May, 1525, Against the Robbing and Murdering Hordes of Peasants, Luther called on the nobles to use any means available to suppress the rebels.“Smite, slay, and stab, secretly and openly … as if among mad dogs,” he urged,“lest the whole land be ruined.” The peasants deserved death, Luther argued, because they had broken their oath of fealty, resorted to rioting and plundering, and masked their terrible sins with the name of the Gospel.

DEBUNKING CONSERVATIVE CATHOLICISM

Catholics in politics claim to be conservative. They have taken over the Republican party.

• One claim to be conservative is ABORTION - Catholics claim to be against abortion and this makes them conservative.

- True, being against abortion is a conservative position, but the law was put in place not by politicians rather it was the Supreme Court. No vote for a politician will change it. Thus this is not a sign of conservatism just political speech for votes knowing it is what the people want to hear.

--also, many Catholic politicians are pro-abortion, such as Nancy Pelosi, Joe Biden, Ted Kennedy, Leon Panetta - all pro abortion. They are pro abortion to support their Church in eliminating the majority of non-Catholics, thus they have not been excommunicated for their good deeds.

• Catholics are overwhelmingly pro-war. This is said to be conservative to be aggressive against terrorism.

- war is not conservative - it is globalist which is socialist and goes against the US Constitution. So pro-war is not a true conservative position.

• Catholics are pro-immigration.

- this is truly globalist and liberal. The Catholic support bringing in more Latins to change the nation. They dont care what the Constitution says on the matter. They actually bring in their fellow Latins to change the Constitution.

Then who is behing NAFTA global trade with Mexico and China and India outsourcing western industry?

a. The Universal Roman Church

I don't.

God loves everyone, of all faiths and no faith. He even loves protestants. Well, some of them, anyway.

yes, "the elect" is a biblical term for God's people. It says "..the world is deceived, if possible even the very elect.."(Mt 24:24) meaning God's people would not be deceived.

The so-called founding fathers had to separate the Christian religion from government ... as the many, many sects simply couldn't get along and all wanted their own sect to rule over others.
>>>>>>> >>>>>>> >>>>>>> >>>>>>> >>>>>>> >>>>>>>

From the book,“History of Christianity,” by Clyde L. Manschreck … comes the following ……..

The Puritans were by no means united, and enforced Presbyterianism came increasingly to be resented, especially by the radical Puritan sects such as the apocalyptic Fifth Monarchy men; the levelers, who wanted popular male suffrage and sovereignty; the Diggers, who believed no one should own property; the early Quakers, who followed the inner light; and Baptists, who insisted on religious liberty and believers’ baptism.

I understand how you believe you are special and are certain that a god supports your AIM.

I don't agree!

What do you think is so appealing about your religion that makes it so a god can't resist it???

Liar!!!
As you very well know June.

Religion is,something people use rightly or wrongly to WORSHIP GOD.

He Himself has no need of or want for RELIGION

AND,I most certainly do not believe only CATHOLICS are saved.

Those who accept the redeeming sacrifice if our Saviour Jesus Christ are saved.

RELIGION as such has nothing to do with it..

Well let me re-phrase ... why do believe a god with no religion would give a rat's ass what a Jew by the name of Jesus taught?

If the god had no religion, he wouldn't want ANYONE to preach religion, as he would be an Atheist.

All they did was quote their own beliefs, and went home with the same divided beliefs with which they first came in order to fight and squabble among their selves who the god loved and who the god disowned.
Idiots!
Oh, now wait one cotton picking minute! I'M the liar, not DS. Haven't you heard??? I'm now the biggest liar and hypocrite on this board and EVERYONE, JUST EVERYONE, knows all about me by now.
So give me back my crown. DS had his chance a few years ago when he held the title. Anthony also had a turn or several, along with many other Catholics. In fact, along with EVERY other Catholic at one time or another. I know John, God rest his soul, held the honor several times running!
Now it's my turn and you're not giving it away to anyone else, so butt out!
