You have much to learn, child.
In the canon, the only NT books actually written by the person to whom they are ascribed are the genuine letters of Paul -- about half of them.
Someone named John of Patmos may actually have written Revelation, but that was not the Apostle John.
Luke? Who knows for sure? Doesn't really matter.
The rest?
Pretend.
Never once in all his writings did Paul ever claim to have met an earthly Jesus, much like millions have never met Harry Potter but read his stories as if he! actually existed.

Okay, I'll try.
Please explain other than by rhetoric how you know that a third dimension actually exists.
Look around you are living in the 3rd dimension... unless all you see is flat like a monopoly board.

Theologians wrote everything concerned with religion.
The fact that you don't trust a Muslim theologian should indicate to you why I don't trust words from ANY theologian ... including your favorites.
.....Today theologens around the world disagree with each other over bible quotes and terminology. University educated bible translators disagree with each other over Greek and Hebrew meanings in the bible.

Referring to children as illegitimate came from religion.

How horrible that children were put through such emotional and physical torment because humans believed the words of theologians that a god was offended by children that were born out of wedlock.

Religion is BUNK!

Paul's not my favorite.

But he did exist.

And he did write about half of the texts ascribed to him.

Do your homework, hon.

It was all compiled by busy theological gossip-mongers.

The words were written in vain by vain men, and as we can see from studying the blood-soaked history, nothing good ever came from such vanity.

Stupid theology.
Your sign is NO sign.

We do need protection from God and his angelic hosts every day. Without this you are most certainly suffering. Call it a sign.
The biggest sign from God was his Son as recorded!

And he didn't.

But roughly half his writings are genuine.

And they are all the earliest Christian writings extant.

Got to deal with the facts to beat the myth, son.

"God loves me because I believe the right way!"

"You are wrong. God loves ME because I believe the right way!"

"Did you ever consider that we both could be wrong and that the theologians are responsible for our disagreements?"

"HEY ... you might have some truth there in the statement. I suggest we go discuss the issue over a cup of coffee. What do you say?"

Paul met and was converted by the resurrected Jesus.

The books of the NT were written before the close of the 1st century by the apostles, then preserved in their original language among the Greeks until coming West to Europe after the fall of the eastern empire to Islam. True, the Latin text was corrupt, but the english Bible used today does not come from the Latin.

If "god" existed and was good, you would need no protection, as the plan would have been void of suffering and filled to capacity with only joy.

Wasn't too long ago people were set on fire just because they disagreed with someoneelses take on God.

Today we still kill people in the name of God, but mostly sling mud at each other instead, ALL because by chance we were born into one particular belief, that teaches we are right and everyone else is not.

Is that the desire of an all loving God?

Augustine is one of the favorite Catholic theologians.

But had Augustine not converted to Catholicism from his sect of Manichaeism, he would be unknown to Catholics of today, as he would have been put to death as were the ones put to death by the acceptance OF Augustine.

He turned on his own people for the sake of his new Catholic religion.

There was no supposed love lost or found in that milieu.

Religion never had anything to do with gods. It had everything to do with the people that created the images of the gods.

GOD

...a God who could make good children as easily as bad, yet preferred to make bad ones; who could have made every one of them happy, yet never made a single happy one; who made them prize their bitter life, yet stingily cut it short; who gave his angels eternal happiness unearned, yet required his other children to earn it; who gave his angels painless lives, yet cursed his other children with biting miseries and maladies of mind and body; who mouths justice, and invented hell--mouths mercy, and invented hell--mouths Golden Rules and foregiveness multiplied by seventy times seven, and invented hell; who mouths morals to other people, and has none himself; who frowns upon crimes, yet commits them all; who created man without invitation, then tries to shuffle the responsibility for man's acts upon man, instead of honorably placing it where it belongs, upon himself; and finally, with altogether divine obtuseness, invites his poor abused slave to worship him!

Theologians wrote all the books concerning religion ... period.

And if you don't trust other theologians, I suggest you are playing favorites to trust your own theologians.

And you do so for that one reason alone ... the promise of your favorite theologians that you will be rewarded with salvation.
