The popes canonized both Augustine and Aquinas as martyred saints for supporting the killing of other humans as being sanctioned by "god."
>>>>>>> >>>>>>> >>>>>>> >>>>>>> >>>>>>> >>>>>>> >>>>>>

Church fathers such as Clement of Rome and Justin Martyr asserted that the taking of human life is incompatible with the gospel and exhorted Christians not to participate in capital punishment. The church's opposition to the death penalty declined after Christianity became the state religion of the Roman Empire. Augustine recognized the death penalty as a means of deterring the wicked and protecting the innocent.[citation needed] In the Middle Ages, Thomas Aquinas reaffirmed this position.

Augustine and Aquinas both brown-nosed the butts of the popes in power by claiming that "god" ordained the killing of other humans as evil and wicked.

They were horrible men ... yet they are revered in the Catholic church as saints.

Atheism is a religion that has Charles Darwin as a god that they worship.

Darwinism, somewhat like global warming, is an unproved theory.

oh really? The Bible doesn't even say its the Bible.
Christ never said which Books are Biblical either.

And the fact that you say we added 7 books is irrelevant. Your opinion on sacred scripture is ... just that, your opinion.

Your ignorance is nothing short of spectacular. I have to ask you if you really believe what you say?
I could never take you and your cohorts seriously. My momma warned me about you fanatics when the born again movement began to become popular in the '80s with the ex drug addicted hippies. You guys are off the charts ignorant.
That is not to say the Good Lord doesn't give you graces when you pray, I believe God is Love and wouldn't turn his back on you just because you're scripturally a mess....but I gotta imagine Christ scratches His head when you guys come up with your silly scenarios on His Ministry as you frantically attempt to debunk His Church.

You've been repeatedly shown the truth Marge. What are you going to do, act like Old G and pretend you never heard it; come back next week and continue spewing the same garbage? You gotta start thinking about your soul. This is getting ridiculous watching y'all bounce off walls trying to hold together your doctrinal mess.

Top Ten Atheist Myths:

1. The universe created itself out of nothing.

2. There is no God.

3. Atheists have proven there is no God.

4. They misquote Jesus.(isn't that bizarre since they say they don't believe in Him?)

5. Atheists aren't amoral.

6. Atheists are charitable.

7. Only dunces believe in God.(when in fact very intelligent men and women outnumber the fools that don't believe in God)

8. Atheists are all brilliant.

9. People are basically good!(er...Adolph Hitler..ahem!)

10. There is no evidence of the supernatural.(open your eyes ye blind FOOLS!)

Microbe Hunters by Paul de Kruif … published 1926
But at that time, in the middle of the seventeenth century, great things were astir in the world. Here and there in France and England and Italy rare men were thumbing their noses at almost everything that passed for knowledge.“We will no longer take Aristotle’s say-so, nor the Pope’s say-so,” said these rebels.“We will trust only the perpetually repeated observations of our own eyes and the careful weighings of our scales; we will listen to the answers experiments give us and no other answers!” So in England a few of these revolutionists started a society called The Invisible College, it had to be invisible because that man Cromwell might have hung them for plotters and heretics if he had heard of the strange questions they were trying to settle.
Cromwell. lol An outstanding example of tyranny.

What a crock! The church funded science and still does. Even Galileo continued his work funded by the church. Galileo was not right on all that he believed btw. He would have been fine had he not began mocking. He had many detractors amongst his peers as well and sorry but Luther and others did the same sort of thing, but Protestants wailed in the wind on many issues becoming more corrupt with little system of accountability and funding. This is pure rubbish. The church was open to facts and hypothesis, but not arrogance. It was open to a hypothesis and a greater understanding without contradicting or opening a new understanding of scripture. In his end years Galileo postured that scripture was not wrong, but the understanding of it not fully realized. This was the stance before and the Pope nor the church never made any kind of infallible decree. The Pope warned him and offered advice on how to proceed without angering his protractors. He chose to mock in arrogance. Not a good choice. It was a local panel which condemned statements and mockery of things not understood and seemingly placing scripture in error which it did not.

There are also quotes of several leading reformers who condemned certain scientific hypothesis. However that Science flourished after Luther is a complete myth. The church is, was and is today a leader in the field of science and the schools and funds to further it for the benefit of mankind. Some of the stuff you post is so out of context its unreal. I think you just like to hear yourself talk. A self educated ignormamous that chooses tidbits from unreliable sources that suits your agenda of railing against God without any semblence of itellect, but rather incomplete plethoras of ramblings, but you are not arrogant at all. lol Good Stuff June.

Yes sireee! God ordained the death penalty for evildoers!

I have been watching this Jodi Arias trial for example. That evil woman stabbed her lover 29 times and then shot him in the head! I say the death penalty by lethal injection is too good for her!

So hypothetically if the Bible is all that is necessary, you're 7 short, so you may want to get more Bible!
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

Since the man of God is "thoroughly furnished" by all scripture, inspired of God, unto good works....what else is necessary????!!!! How can he be more "thoroughly furnished"????!!!!

thoroughly: completely

"Amen my brother in Christ" coming from a Catholic is about as ludicrous as it gets.

The word Christ came from Judaism ... NOT Catholicism. Christ simply meant Messiah, and the Jews HAD their Messiah, and his name was NOT Jesus. His name was Jehovah.

Stop STEALING from the Jews!!!
