Don't you think it would be political and religious leaders who would again reject Jesus?
It is not the cradle Catholics/Protestants that are the problem. For if one is zealous for the faith by choice, it is far different than being part of a crowd, that becomes a mob.
Jesus in his travels saw thousands, and they him, so few became close, the rest were curious crowds, and eventually the leaders turned some of them into mobs against him at his crucifixion.
If so many people saw him how come no one wrote about him? why is there only one set of incomplete scriptures? there should be more written than that, and more complete.

Please, look everywhere, you won't find ANY Catholic Church that charges a fee for confession. Don't make it my fault that you screwed up and linked a protestant website.
how can it be a protestant church when it follows catholocism, except for the pope being universal, big deal, and if you read the news article episcopal will be catholic apparently, attendance is getting so low they have to merge with another church, and since the episcopal follows all their rules except one,it's the perfect choice of churches. wouldn't you agree?

Dont' tell me, tell the folks at your favorite website gotquestions.org because they say you lack common sense..

Jesus made alcoholic wine for the wedding guests. He gave it to His disciples.

If your bad experiences with drinking and drunks caused you and them to sin, that's not Jesus's fault.

Typical response from Catholics that can't face the truth!!!!

I repeat:

You are saying, in this case, "human afflictions" equate to alcoholics whom are drunkards. That every priest God called to the priesthood, God knew they would all become drunkards.
Logic says, since God knows when He calls a person, that person will become a drunkard, He also knows when He calls a person to the priesthood that person will not become a drunkard.

Any idea why He favors those He knows will become drunkards????!!!

Yeah. It's all about, "What Would Jesus Do?" isn't it?

NOT:
-
"What Would the Pope Do?"
-
'cuz if we were to follow what the pope does, we would end up murdering, torturing, covering up pedophilia ... Which is why I don't want to be Catholic again. Ever.
lol

Guest, you don't want to be Catholic again, because you are convinced our Pope murdered, tortured and covered up for pedophiles?

I don't like saying this, but its probably better for the Church that you left. We just can't have that level of ignorance around.

They don't follow Catholicism. The Episcopals, Anglicans, Methodist etc say they do, but their beliefs are very different. They have a liturgical church but that's about where the similarities end.
They are a doctrinal mess, but not nearly as bad as the evangelical born agains. God still dispenses His grace to the individual when they pray. But He does not lead them to scriptural truth as evident to the huge confusion they have with teachings.

I'm used to them using my daughter's suicide as leverage.

It gives them the same type of high as they get from believing others will burn in hell while a supposed savior gives them eternal love and well-deserved pampering.

Wrong. The Episcopalians are PROTESTANT, not "almost Catholic".

The Episcopalian community in DC is just one community, out of thousands across the country, that decided to leave the Episcopalian denomination and join the Catholic Church. The one in California that you cited is not joining the Catholic Church.

Just say you made a mistake and move on.

Michael:

If you as a person chooses not to relate to God, then there is no religion.

Those who choose to make religion their god, are putting the system in the place of God, and that is idolatry.

If religions are all man made, then you as an atheist should be very enthusiastic for religion.

You are making contrary statements, and that is for you to straighten them out.

You are correct. Whatever word they used wouldn't matter, as people in all religions have always bragged that they could tell the future and that they were full of "knowledge."

Why don't you just say, "I think people should not drink alcohol, its not good for the liver and can lead to alcoholism". That would be more respectful of you.
Instead, you manipulate sacred scriptures for your own personal beef. That's a sin LTM.
Look, don't drink if you think it'll lead to drunkenness. But how dare you imply Catholics are sinning for having a glass of wine.
oh I am so done with you all Clay. God said it; God did.
God warned us not to drink ferment wine, and He gave very clear reasons why.
So yeah the Bible does say not to.
To much ferment wine got you too I see.

Living in a small town, the local talk, was about all the mass media of his(Jesus') time.

Even in the big city(Jerusalem), how much historical records do we have from the time of Jesus? Just a fragment here and there.

Sometimes, we put our expectations of seeing Jesus in this state of magnificent glory, but in reading the Bible carefully, he was quite to opposite, a very humble person.

Now some are attracted to people of grandiose reputations, and others to humility. One needs to pay attention to the quieter side, of the gospel to find Jesus. Have you?

I was praying on this subject yesterday.
And to me it is more a choice between exercising the desires of the mind, or exercising the desires of the heart.
The mind exercises itself to exhaustion to hide the heart which has been hurt.
So a balance is a more prudent course.

The true Christian way is to follow the leadership of the Spirit...

AS OPPOSED TO... the five senses (LIVE BY FAITH)...

Rom_8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

EXAMPLES...JESUS
Luk_4:1 And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,

PETER AND JOHN WERE LED BY THE SPIRIT ...

Act 3:1 Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.

Act 3:2 And a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple;
Act 3:3 Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms.
Act 3:4 And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.
Act 3:5 And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.
Act 3:6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.
Act 3:7 And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.

Act 3:8 And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.

Act 3:9 And all the people saw him walking and praising God:

Act 3:10 And they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him.

Act 3:11 And as the lame man which was healed held Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon's, greatly wondering.

Act 3:12 And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?

Act 3:13 The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go.

Act 3:14 But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you;

Act 3:15 And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.

NOTE--->
Act 3:16 And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.
