Acording to you last post Sadan, you haven't because you don't believe we are baptized in to Christ by the same baptism as the apostles. So which is it?? Is God the same God to all generations,
to all people or not??
The special anointing of the Holy Spirit to Preach , Teach, Pastor etc. are given to people God has chosen before time began maybe this is what you are referring to.
If you could immediately speak in languages you'd never learned as well as do other miracles, I'd believe you were baptized with the same baptism the Apostles experienced. You can't.

we were reconciled to him through the DEATH of His Son.....HOW???

This requires not any spirituality to understand....
There is no salvation in merely believing and being dunked....it is not a "done deal". Mr 16:16 says so.....look at the words "will be saved"....
"Will be" is in the future sense...it hasn't happened yet!!!!!

<quoted text>you notice that Peter and the other Apostles were not included in that Experience of the Holy Ghost falling on those in the upper Room and also in the streets of Jerusalem, which agrees with jesus already giving them the Holy Ghost previous to that Day.
the Holy Ghost fell on those people BEFORE they were Baptised as the Bible says.everyway that the campbellites turn, the Bible Proves them WRONG.
Your experience and mine agrees with the Bible, they have no Spirtual Experience to even testify about just as the catholic CANT.
a person(campbellites) cant PROFESS something that they dont POSSESS(Salvation)
Are you saying the 3000 people added to the church that day were all in the upper room together?

Saint Dismus. He was the theif who was crucified along side Jesus..

Anyway, it doesn't matter. Christ and the Apostles commanded us to be Baptized with water. In the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
The reasons why God wants water is not for us to dictate. The fact is, He wants water.
Perhaps because God created water for all His creation. Nothing can survive without water.
Water is the essential ingredient for life. We humans can not live without it. Its obvious why God wants us to be Baptized by using His most precious substance known to human beings.

But don't worry Saban. Anyone who makes the initial decision to be Baptized, would still meet the criteria the Evangelicals demand. The Baptized still accepts Christ while the water is being poured.
Then why even use water, they ask?
Because God wants it and who are we to tell Him its unnecessary. Who are we to tell Him John the Baptist didn't need any stupid water?
I'm glad the C.O.C still stresses the use of water Baptism.
I think all of Protestantism did until the Born Agains arrived and attempted to undo it.

This is my last go on this merry-go-round!!!!
"He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned" (Mark 16:16).
This passage contains the conditions for salvation: faith and baptism.
It also contains the conditions for damnation: a lack of faith. If anyone wants to know what to do to go to hell, have them read Mark 16:16 -- all that is necessary is a lack of faith. If they want to know what to do for salvation, have them read the same verse -- it tells them to believe and be baptized.
Damnation is not the lack of being washed in the river!!!! Damnation is in the lack of belief.....
Was I wrong to say our sin condemns us?

By being buried (our old self/our sin) in baptism to be raised in newness of life "in Christ".

I should've stated under the New Covenant.

Hey Preston,
If God says something saves but man claims it is unnecessary, does that man truly believe God?
just because God says something doesnt mean that man UNDERSTANDS.

at no time in the NT does it show us that any person received Salvation by being Bapised.

WHICH IS WHY YOU REMAIN SILENT AND ALWAYS TRY AND DIVERT THE THREAD.

One does not receive Salvation through water baptism Sabanfan, it is through faith in Jesus Christ alone.

Gal 3:21
He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.

“The Lord is calling me 'out to the mountain' to devote more time to prayer and meditation, but this does not mean I'm abandoning the Church. In fact, if God is asking this of me, it's precisely to continue serving the Church with the same dedication and love with which I have served so far, but in a way that's more suited for my age and strength.”
--------Pope Benedict XVI
VATICAN CITY, Feb. 24, 2013

More than 100,000 pilgrims came to St. Peter's Square today to attend Pope Benedict XVI's last Sunday prayer and blessing. The crowd interrupted the pope several times with applause, but Benedict was business as usual.

Apparently he is not big on goodbyes.

This was the last time the world will see him in the window for his Sunday noon appointment with the faithful.

What the Apostle Paul is talking about here is what the Bible elsewhere calls 'being born from above' or 'being born again.'
God has done a WORK that is so radical/changing, it can only be described as 'being born again.'
being raised from the dead.....
being transformed into a new creation.
so why are you so unable to realize that this Experience is whatJesus calls being "born again" by the SPIRIT(notice that ) of the SPIRIT not being baptsied by water.

Hank, every where you try and squirm out of your words, you get squashed on.lol
