Repeating yourself after I provided scriptural precedent for the teaching isn't too impressive, chuck.
Again, beieve it or don't, but running the shopworn "man-made" line out only entertains Oxbow.
Not impressive???

I back up with what I believe with scripture.

Your response...."it's what catholics believe". That is impressive

Therefore, since you deny the charge, which can be easily justified by scripture, which you are not completely bound to, the question will remain unanswered concerning Catholicism's blame in the vast numbers of denominations that now exist.
Who denied it? I DID leave it to you to actually supply your own basis for your own question. Sorry, I guess.

I supplied a response.

The fault with denominationalism lies with men.

You supplied a weblink to Moises Pineda's opinion of how the Catholic church is treated in Scripture.

I'm not "completely bound" to what Moises Pineda thinks, am I?

And, I did respond. Reply at your conveneience.

You're equating Pineda with Christ?
All I asked was why I should read his work or if it has any scholarly or theological weight.
Is this asking too much?
Again, he's YOUR source.
I'm equating you with those *religious* people that were too good and all knowing for Jesus' teachings.

You simply threw the same scripture back at me with what you think it says.

So? Should I ask my mailman so I get three versions?

The teaching "Mary ever virgin" is tripe....

Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife:

The next verse says that did not happened until she gave birth to Christ. Quote: And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.

However, when this occurred is immaterial. The fact that it did, at some point in time, per Scripture, is undeniable.

So, she remained a virgin as much as any other wife who has had intercourse with her husband....

Like I said, he's not from Rome with a pointy hat, therefore I could not persuade YOU to accept him as credible.
My hope is that someone will take an honest look at the case he lays out about what the BIBLE says about the Catholic Church.
He's not from anywhere.

I looked at it. I'm not aware of what authority he brings to the subject and you refuse to tell me.

You're obviously enamored with him. Do you follow his teachings?

I don't presume it will have any scholarly or theological weight to you since the case being made is only based on scripture.

It's Pineda's version of what he thinks the Bible says.

What authority does Pineda have to interpret and teach Holy Scripture other than that he has given himself or that you give him?

Catholics believe that the Pope cannot err when teaching ex cathedra on matters of faith and morals.
This is one of those instances.
Oh, we Christians agree that this is one of those instances.... in which your false doctrine is made evident......

for the Bible is clear that {faith comes by hearing and hearing BY THE WORD OF GOD.}

therefore your pope is a liar and a blasphmer to tell people that mary went up into heaven as he says that she did.

AS THE WORD OF GOD DOES NOT TEACH THAT.

You believe wrong...

Re 12:1 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:

woman: a woman; specially, a wife:--wife, woman.

This could be talking about anybody's wife...any woman...it definitely does not identify Mary...

I can't disagree with your last sentence. The man-made theology and traditions definitely caused the apostacy and the man-made divisions.

I don't suppose man alone could interpret God's Word without the Catholic filter attached.

I was brought up in the rcc and left around the age of 18. After I gave my life to Jesus Christ in 2004 I found that many churches put faith in men. Thats a huge err. I'm not here to bring up points that have been made over and over but to remind us all to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. Time is short.

Faith.
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Your stories about the assumption of Mary, among other things, are not of faith because you did not hear that by the Word of God.

Faith in men is what you have.
