<quoted text>You say you do not worship the Host.I can understand your response, but the truth is that the Host being the actual presence and divinity of our Lord,is worshiped in the Monstrance,if you claim that of course it is Him,and that He is to be worshiped and adored. So actually it becomes a play on words.
At the end you ask Mary conceived without sin to pray for us. The truth of the matter is Regina, you believe in fact that she must be omnipresent to answer your prayers. If you prayed at the very moment to Mary, and thousands if not millions pray to her as well the same moment all asking requests of her, than you must believe she heard your prayer and will answer it as well.
She has the divine attribute of being omnipresent to be able to hear your prayer, and that of the many elsewhere.
Your asking Mary or a saint to pray for you in the realm of glory beyond the grave gives claim that the person has divine attributes. If you are asking that person to pray to the Lord in your behalf,in the spiritual realm that saint or Mary (given supposedly divine attribute)must be given that ability by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit has to be the ONE who receives all those prayers directed to Mary.Ultimately God is answering your prayer already, because you are expecting that Mary will approach Him with your request. But God hears your plea, and in His divine Mercy He answers according to His Will.Mary going to Him is actually after the fact of God already hearing your prayer.
I am not criticizing the fact that you may pray to Mary, but I fail to understand why pray to her if she is in the realm of the Spirit who hears your prayer as you utter it to Mary?God is the Divine ONE who hears every petition,no saint or Mary herself can be omnipresent to be able to receive every petition prayed to them. The LORD answers out of His compassion for you,Is not His Omnipresence and compassion enough for you?
Oh, Dan, really! Now you're playing games, claiming that the Blessed Mother is omniscient. Yes, she hears our prayers, as do all the saints. They join their prayers to ours before God. Personally, I think your brand of spirituality is lacking, it has no depth. God created such multi-layered beauty for us to lose ourselves in. Yet you limit Him to a few pages in a book from which you won't let Him escape. Where is God? God is everywhere. Now tell me the saints who are alive with Him don't hear our prayers.

Yes the Grace from God is a gift, and the testimony of that grace applied is common in all the evangelical churches. Some Reformer churches attest to the same, but these days the liberalism of those churches destroys the testimony of the redeemed within those denominations. Few Reformer members claim to be born again.

Marge,I am really concerned about this storm as well.Regina says she lives near the shore line.We can agree together in prayer that she will be safe, and her family of course as well.

True faith in action is to pray for one another and to rely on the Lord to answer according to His Will.

May the Angels of the LORD our God encamp around every home where people are staying during this storm, protect them and keep them.If they evacuate, than may they have the peace of the LORD to leave all o f their possessions in His hands.Protect their belongings as well LORD.LORD if it is possible please turn the might of the storm to the ocean away from landfall.Give hope, rest and Peace to all peoples in those affected areas we pray,in the Mighty and Matchless Name of Jesus,AMEN!

TO POPE HOJO:another example of non-existence of succession:
Benedict IX, born Theophylactus of Tusculum, is known mainly for two things: 1) he held office on three separate occasions, and 2) he is the only pope who ever sold the papacy (to his own godfather, of all people).

Benedict became pontiff at a very young age, thanks to the political prowess of his father, who had managed to get the papacy reserved ahead of time for his son. With little actual training or preparation that qualified him to act as pontiff, Benedict led a highly immoral life, and was accused of various rapes, adulteries, and murders. According to St. Peter Damian, Benedict was “a demon from hell in the disguise of a priest,” and his carousing eventually caused him to be forcefully expelled from Rome.

Benedict managed to regain his throne, but then – surprise, surprise!– he was sidetracked by a prospective marriage (to his cousin) and sold the papal chair for a significant amount of money to his godfather, a priest who named himself Pope Gregory VI. His later repentance and attempt to resume his position created quite a controversy, forcing the German King Henry III to intervene. Benedict was subsequently excommunicated from the church.

“His life as a pope,” wrote Pope Victor III,“was so vile, so foul, so execrable, that I shudder to think of it.”

more for POPE HOJO:Pope John XII,
rn in Rome, the young Octavianus practically had the papacy handed to him on a silver platter. His father, a patrician of Rome, made the Roman nobles swear an oath that at the next vacancy in the papal seat, Octavianus would be elected. Sure enough, when he was only 18 the reigning pope passed away, and Octavianus was chosen as the successor, taking the name Pope John XII.
JETHRO:true succession "rotflmao" sorry can't help it,the churches own history proves what i have been saying all along no such thing as devine apostolic succession, you are following just an ordinary man made church, nothing devine or holy about it,it is corrupt, greedy, perverted church,we know that as fact.if you don't believe me just ask the victims.

Unfortunately, no, you are not one, Marge. There are as many different protestant beliefs as there are protestant posters on these boards. Although the large number appears to upset some people, I find the lies about the faith such as "Mary Ann Collins", worshiping the Blessed Mother, worshiping a host, etc. much more offensive than whether or not there are 40K denominations. And the rewriting of history is intolerable. It is kind of funny though watching the sputtering that goes on whenever anyone mentions the 40K different denominations.:)
Salvation is not based on a denomination or the RCC but in Christ alone. Thay is why it is written:One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and said to me, "Come, I will show you the punishment of the great prostitute, who sits on many waters. With her the kings of the earth committed adultery and the inhabitants of the earth were intoxicated with the wine of her adulteries." Then the angel carried me away in the Spirit into a desert. There I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast that was covered with blasphemous names and had seven heads and ten horns. The woman was dressed in purple and scarlet, and was glittering with gold, precious stones and pearls. She held a golden cup in her hand, filled with abominable things and the filth of her adulteries. This title was written on her forehead:

MYSTERY BABYLON THE GREAT THE MOTHER OF PROSTITUTES AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

I saw that the woman was drunk with the blood of the saints, the blood of those who bore testimony to Jesus.(Revelation 17:1-5 NIV)

"This calls for a mind with wisdom [i.e. it is not something easily identifiable. One must think about it.]. The seven heads are seven hills on which the woman sits." (Revelation 17:9 NIV)

Revelation 17:5

And upon her forehead was a name written, Mystery, Babylon The Great, The Mother Of Harlots, And Abominations Of The Earth.

Revelation 18:4

And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that you be not partakers of her sins, and that you receive not of her plagues

As it is, you're promoting fiction as truth.(Oh, and save your snide comments for your protestant "brothers". He will ever do what he has always done...

His fruits are...

Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

Gal 5:23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Gal 5:24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

Gal 5:25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

___

Col 3:1 If ye then be risen with Christ,

seek those things which are above,

where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.

Col 3:2

Set your affection on things above,

not on things on the earth.

Col 3:3

For ye are dead,

and your life

is hid with Christ in God.

Col 3:4

When Christ,

who is our life,

shall appear,

then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

Col 3:5 Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth;

fornication,

uncleanness,

inordinate affection,

evil concupiscence,

and covetousness,

which is idolatry:

Col 3:6 For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:

THEIR (so called ) QUEEN OF HEAVEN.
As God once told Elijah...
1Ki_19:18 Yet I have left me seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which hath not kissed him.

Statements like this make you a BIGOT.

You remind me of the brainwashed old fat lady mother of Abe, on the BREAKING AMISH show. She SHUNS anyone not like her.

People who pray and worship the very same Jesus you do and you make snide remarks about them, because you were born into a catholic family and they weren't.

BIGOT!

You wonder today why catholicism in the western world is slip sliding away?.........You are one the reasons that is making this happen, with your sinful negative comments about others.

very sad, Amish wannabe.
