Protestants Profess Christians, The Roman Catholic Church is mock you and they say you are not true Protestants. If you go to you internet search bar and type in Romes Challenge you will find the following quote from them.

“One of the greatest challenges ever cast into the face of Protestantism is contained in a statement by Father Enright, President of Redemptorist College in America:“It was the Holy Catholic Church that changed the day of rest from Saturday to Sunday, the first day of the week. And it not only compelled all to keep Sunday, but also urged all persons to labor on the seventh day under pain of anathema.Protestants…profess great reverence for the Bible, and yet by their solemn act of keeping Sunday, they acknowledge the power of the
Catholic Church. The Bible says,‘Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy.’ But the Catholic Church says,‘NO: Keep the first day of the week’
and lo, the entire civilized world bows down in reverent obedience to the command of the holy Catholic Church.”

And another challenge to Protestants from the compilation titled Rome’s Challenge:
“Nothing can be more plain and easy to understand than all this, there is nobody who attempts to deny it. It is acknowledged by everybody that the day which Almighty God appointed to be kept holy
was Saturday, not Sunday. Why do you keep holy the Sunday and not Saturday?”“You will tell me that Saturday was the Jewish Sabbath, but that the Christian Sabbath has been changed to Sunday. Changed! But by whom? Who has authority to change an express commandment of Almighty God? When God had spoken and said,‘Thou shalt keep holy
the seventh day,’ who shall dare to say,‘Nay, thou mayest work and do all manner of worldly business on the seventh day: but thou shalt keep
holy the first day in its stead?’ This is a most important question, which I know not how you answer.”

“You are a Protestant, and you profess to go by the Bible and the Bible only; and yet, in so important a matter as the observance of one day
in seven as the holy day, you go against the plain letter of the Bible, and put another day in the place of that day which the Bible has commanded.
The command to keep holy the 7th day is one of the Ten Commandments; you believe that the other nine are still binding. Who gave you authority to tamper with the fourth? If you are consistent with
your own principles, if you really follow the Bible, and the Bible only, you ought to be able to produce some portion of the New Testament in
which this 4th commandment is expressly altered.” Excerpts from “Why don’t you keep holy the Sabbath Day?” pages 3-15 in the Clifton Tract, Volume 4, published by the Roman Catholic Church in 1869.

Greetings Nita
Peace
Don't worry....Its not the Protestant mindset at all....Nor has it anything to do with their man-made tradition of anti-Catholic doctrine.
I tried to explain religous history differs from objective history to John already....So I won't go into it again....
As a Catholic I accept both....Sometimes a very hard thing to do...But carrying two seemingly opposite thoughts is what human beings should be good at....LOL
This area I am considering as the objective historical accounts of our Blessed Mother, may have a tendency to demythologize some of the more conflated aspects of my thoughts, which needed clarification....And believe me, Protestantism is going in the opposite direct, making things more obtuse in this regard....
I am well aware of Mary of Cleopas, and her children....
Peace
Robert
Robert, hi, thanks for your clarification? LOLL I trust the Lord with much prayer for you, buddy. Happy gardening for Christ to defend the Faith and His Mother Mary Perpetual Virginity doctrine and dogma. May the Holy Spirit dwell in your heart's garden too when you do.

Although some profess Protestant Churches claim to believe Bible truth, they blindly follow the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church, unlike their Protestant fore-fathers. They say the law ‘was nailed to the cross!’ They observe the Catholic Sabbath-Sunday, instead of the Bible Sabbath—Saturday and follow other false teachings that originated in pagan and papal Rome. I believe that the Roman Catholic system of religion is teaching many false things. And I emphasize that this is not just my opinion but the opinions
of thousands and especially, it is what the Bible says!
I must present these things as the evidence of truth that I have. To warn the many friends, relatives and others who are deceived by the Roman
Catholic System with its traditions and pagan origins. So, if you thought that, you are already a Christian a good Catholic or Protestant and you have not experienced the power of God that I talk about. Even many Protestants professed Christian
have not. But there is a reason for this. God is a Spirit and those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth. It is not Catholic people that are bad, but the system of religion. My hope is that all will study the Bible for themselves and see the truth of God’s Word and repent and worship God and not man or a man-made religion. Because many will suffer lost, not because
God did not love them, but because they made a choice that separated them from the truth of God and they will suffer the results of their own choices. I am a Protestant Christian by choice, even though I was born into a family with many relatives that comprised both, some protestant and others—mostly Catholic! I have many Roman Catholic relatives, with many different nationalities, some Scottish, Irish, English, Italian and more. And I love all my relatives of all nationalities and
I do not want to offend any person and that includes any people of the Catholic religion. The Catholic religion puts the tradition of the Church and its leadership popes and bishops above the Bible. It is not firmly grounded, or based using only God’s Holy Inspired Word which is the only true standard, rules of faith and practice for the genuine Christian.
Other than what your cult likes to say, and you accept as fact you have never provided anything to back up your false claims.

But as I have shown you don't believe in what the Bible says, except where it agrees with your confused at best interpretation of what the Bible actually says.

You don't know the role of the Bible in the Roman Catholic Church. You set up your paper pope, the Bible, in place of the bishop of Rome. Why? Something missing from your creed?

Pagan origins? Not everyone uses English as their language but almost all of your pagan claims are based on the English language. In another language it makes no sense. So I guess you have set up a second paper pope, this time the English language as another source of authority?

What is truly sad is that you truly, deep in your heart hate. You can have zeal without hatred. You don't have zeal.

I have said it before and I will say it again, you are spreading lies when it comes to the Roman Catholic Church. If you think that telling lies is somehow "Christian" you really don't know the message of Christ and you really are not a Christian.

Gina,
I am agreeing with Jesus, ma'am, when He actually prayed for Unity of His Church. One Faith, One Baptism, One Lord of All.
Thanks to Protestanta perverting the Bible given to them by Catholics for Catholics as a weapon against Catholism, my son stopped going to a church altogether for the time being. However, I do pray for him and all who leave to fold to be back home.
On Mother's Day, he met me in the Church parking lot for awhile and told me he prayed in front of the Blessed Mother's statue at Unborn Monument for the Unborn babies within the wombs that their own mothers want to abort. Our Lady's intercession through her to Jesus will advance the abolition of abortion on demand. And by Our Blessed Mother's intercession to Jesus will bring my son back to His Holy Church and His Holy Mass as I am praying for you to do too.
Shame on you to call yourself a christian with this hatefilled statement of yours:
<I never have and never will. When one finds gold, one never goes back for a turd no matter how much you try and polish it.>
You know, calling His Holy RC Church guided by the Holy Spirit in all Truth is blasphemy!! I am praying for your soul to be free from that hateful demon inside of you to say such a crappy thing to Catholics here who love the Lord and His Holy Church.
Why the anger, Gina, for the Faith that you left?
Fess up? I really want to continuing on your path that is leading you to destruction to hate so much my Faith. I love you in Christ despite what your demon inside said you to say about the Church. Help me to understand why exactly you left the Faith. I am praying for you, Gina. Pad is a wonderful person like you, just misguided in Truth, that's all.
God bless you,
NitaM
Getting past all the hoopla that you throw around, let get back to the facts. You are telling everyone to get right with the one true church but when PAD says that there really aren't any divisions of the "church" in Christ's eyes, you praise him. Seems as if double mindedness runs in your family. There is nothing hateful with instructing others with the Truth of God. You believe in a man-made church and know not the Lord. I shall pray for your son that he may be led to a Spirit filled church...that of course excludes any RCC. From what you show of yourself on these threads I can't imagine what you have done to his mind. But God is able to overcome that and make him right in Christ.

Again you have to take things both in context and understand what was said and why it was said.
Those in the Church who call on the name of the Lord is not the same as those outside of the Church who may not know the Lord that they are calling, in fact they may be calling a whole different Lord.
That God so loved the world,(John 3:16) is true, that He gave His only begotten Son is true. But one has to question how you square what you are attempting to imply with the very next verse where it says that those who don't believe is condemned. How about those that believe Christ is "a" word" are they OK also? They believe something.
She may have been referring to the word "world".(Jn 3:16)...the word "kosmos" in Greek. Which taken in context is referring to "believers", not everyone in the world.

Professed Protestants the Catholics are mocking you continued...

Rev. Stephen Keenan’s A Doctrinal Catechism has this to say:“Question—Have you any other way of proving that the Church has power to institute festivals of precept Answer—Had she not such power, she could not have done that in which all modern religionists agree with her; she could not have substituted the observance of Sunday, the first day of the week, for the observance of Saturday, the seventh day, a change for which there is no scriptural authority.”(Please note the word “substituted,” a term we have used over and over to describe the activities of
this power.)

Cardinal Gibbons, in his book The Question Box, p. 179,makes this startling admission:“If the Bible is the only guide for the Christian, then the Seventh-day Adventist is right in observing the
Saturday with the Jew.…Is it not strange that those who make the Bible their only teacher, should inconsistently follow in this matter the
tradition of the Catholic Church” Rev. John A. O’Brien in the book Understanding the Catholic Faith, p. 13, 1955 edition,

... "Take, for instance, the matter of Sunday observance, attendance at divine service, and abstention from unnecessary servile work on that day. This is a matter upon which our Protestant neighbors have for many years laid great emphasis; yet nowhere in the Bible is the Sunday designated as the Lord’s Day; the day mentioned is the Sabbath, the last day of the week. The early Church, conscious of her authority to teach in the name of Christ, deliberately changed the day to Sunday.”

Messenger of "Untruth" about my Catholic Faith that you just posted and here's why:

Your argument is:
From Sabbath to Sunday

When did the Church begin to worship on Sunday instead of Saturday, the Hebrew Sabbath? On this question hinges the conclusion to many arguments with Fundamentalists, especially Sabbatarians (the Seventh-Day Adventists are the best known) who owe their raison d’etre to the conviction that the early Church apostatized when it abandoned observance of the traditional Sabbath.

Let’s answer this charge by taking a look at the facts about the Sabbath in the Old and New Testaments:

Sunday never was the Christian Sabbath. Never.

Told you that before, but you don't want to listen.

I visited the site and actually read what was said. Needless to say, it isn't what you are trying to say it does.

And your point is?

The Cardinal is saying that the Protestants who also set up the Bible as the paper pope should be Sabbathtarians also. He is simply challenging them on being inconsistent.

A good point.

But again you try to distort what is said to prove your point.

Sorry, but thanks for playing.

Christ said,“These people draw near to Me with their mouth, and honor Me with their lips,
but their heart is far from Me. And in vain they worship Me, teaching its doctrines (instead of the Bible the traditions of the church that contradict the bible) the commandments of men.” Matthew 15:8-9.

Also, I must emphasize that there have been many Catholic and Protestant people that did not know any better than what they were taught and some may have died. To those who did not know the truth and were sincere in their relationship to God, I believe they will be saved. And to the many others, God is calling you to come out of this false system of religion.“But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeks such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” John 4:23-24.

The sexual molestation of children and this evil misrepresentation of God,with many false teachings including Sunday sacredness, immortality of the
soul and many other false things cause confusion and misrepresents God, Christ and the true Christian religion. And also the Protestant Churches that teach some of these same things and teach that the Bible is about obtaining
financial prosperity, fake healing and fake speaking in un-known tongues these are Apostate Protestants also part of Babylon. God is calling you too out of these falsehoods. What are some more of these false teachings or blasphemies in the Catholic Church? Where do I start, there are so many?

Where in the Bible does it teach we are to pray to Mother Mary? No where,on the contrary! We are commanded in God’s word the First & Second
Commandments, not to worship any other God’s, not to make any graven images, of any kind, not to pray to them etcetera. What about all the man made
crosses, rosary beads, statues of angels, dead saints etcetera, that Catholic’s always pray too? That is idolatry and blasphemy. And the Bible
says “There is no other name under heaven among men, by which we must be saved.”(Christ only) Acts 4:12. No, not ‘Mother Mary.’ Not the
popes, bishops, or priest. And where does the Bible teach that Sunday is the Sabbath,(and on the seventh day God rested…Saturday not Sunday!) or about a “purgatory,” or calling the Pope and even priests holy father?“Do not call anyone on earth your father, for One is your Father, He who is in heaven.” Matthew 23:9. Or confessing your sins to a priest (“the confessional”) and receiving forgiveness, instead of praying to God for forgiveness? Where does the Bible teach that you should talk to the dead, or pray to them?

“It is true that there are real Christians in the Roman Catholic communion. Thousands in that church are serving God according to the best light they have. They are not allowed access to his Word, and therefore they do not discern the truth. They have never seen the contrast between a living heart-service and a round of mere forms
and ceremonies. God looks with pitying tenderness upon these souls, educated as they are in a faith that is delusive and unsatisfying. He will
cause rays of light to penetrate the dense darkness that surrounds them. He will reveal to them the truth, as it is in Jesus, and many will yet take their position with his people.{Great Controversy 88 565.2} by Ellen G. White.
