If the rich weren't sending all the jobs overseas maybe you'd have a point.

Twenty years ago you could get a job with a decent pension, good health insurance, and you'd have a feeling of loyalty to the company that employed you. In the past twenty years, pensions have turned into 401k's (YOUR money, not the company's), good health care insurance has turned into HMO's,(where you're lucky if you can see a specialist without six people referring you and clearing it first... even then good luck getting it paid for within six months) and loyalty to your emplyor has evaporated because your employer is no longer loyal to YOU.

During the past twenty years, the 'rich' have been providing less and less to their employees while the 'rich' investors got more and more.

If you think the changes Obama is trying to make, and that most of US voted for, amount to socialism, you need to look up the definition of the word.

Twenty years ago employers weren't having to pay there employee's such a high salary. Now they have to pay high salaries to start and then try to stay above water also. We are telling our children that they have the right to live in the big houses like there employer does. We are telling them that they have to have an education to become anything they want and then they get out of school and have a huge debt and can't find a job. Not all people are made to go on to collage. We need workers in this country and not all union workers. Factory jobs 20 years ago were just sitting there watching parts go by and then picking one up from time to time to make sure it looked right. They were making great money to do this right out of high school. The people that went on to collage were being payed less to work office jobs. Alot has changed and I don't believe any of it is for the better. We need to understand what we stand for and fight for it.

That was comical.
"Factory jobs 20 years ago were just sitting there watching parts go by and then picking one up from time to time to make sure it looked right".

I don't think you've ever been inside of a factory, and if you wee,you were certainly very confused about what was going on.You're also confused about wages. Most factories pay less in dollars per hour now than they did 20 years ago,and real wages are far less.I know a lot of skilled workers making half what they did then.Com panies are going to China because poorly paid Americans are buying more cheap stuff to stay above water.

There are a hell of a lot of factory workers who know more and are worth more than those suit people who think their degrees and suits make them smarter, and with the pussified boys growing up afraid to get dirty, and afraid the snotty blonde girls won't sleep with non-professionals,a good factory worker is harder to find and more important and worth more than an average jerk with a BA.
