I have since retracted my "in all people" comment.
You're absolutely right. I notice that sort of thing everyday. Just yesterday we were at Target and some lady was walking towards me in the main aisle. She looked right at me, then away as if I didn't exist. Had I not turned, our shopping carts would've knocked into each other and I'm pretty sure she would've blamed me for it.
RE; my previous post, I was unaware of what you meant by conscious.
Also, it's really hard to type right now because I sliced the tip of my index finger and fingernail this morning while cutting some drywall. The stupid bandaid keeps pressing two buttons at once.

Your ideology is showing.
I never hid my ideology

I simply don't need hate and propaganda to express it

That is the difference between us

I know better and choose better

You know better and choose worse

That is too bad my Christian brother. Ironic how Christians are so quick to point out how nonsensical it is to try to broad-brush Christianity because of a lone lunatic like Hitler and are first to point out how it is simply hate rhetoric to use Hitler. But get some of those same Christians talking about politics and they will turn around and use Hitler like it is nothing. Heck, I just saw someone try to blame 9-11 on a blowjob! If the government was distracted it was because of the Republicans who whipped it into a frenzy going after the most ludicrous attempt at an impeachment ever. But again, just more propaganda and hate rhetoric to even try to link the two.

<quoted text> As it relates to Clinton. One of my favorite lesbians in Camille Paglia.

Paglia characterizes herself as a Clinton Democrat and libertarian.[7][56] She opposes laws against prostitution, pornography, drugs, and abortion.[63] Paglia criticized Bill Clinton for not resigning after the Monica Lewinsky scandal, which she says "paralyzed the government for two years, leading directly to our blindsiding by 9/11."[64]
Paglia either is very uninformed or simply hopes others are

The parts of the government that were so concerned with Clinton's blowjob were not the parts of the government in charge of security

Or did you think Newt Gingrich when he isn't making speeches is tracking down Al Qaeda?

That suggestion is beyond ludicrous

And someone that knows better should be ashamed to repeat it

Both are incorrect.

"unable to prove that no gods exist" doesn't make you anything. Except human.

"rejecting the unsupported claims of others" also doesn't make you anything. Not even a skeptic, necessarily.

If you are going to label yourself as an atheist or an agnostic, something is missing from the above.

Someone who is unable to prove that no gods exist, and rejects the unsupported claims of others, could be an atheist, an agnostic, or a theist.

One step further into description tells the story.

If we add "believes god exists", he is a theist.

If we add "believes gods do not exist", he is an atheist.

If we add "doesn't have an opinion, or thinks it unknowable", he is an agnostic.

And with this we are back to reality. The rejecting of claims and unprovability cancels itself out,...and...

An atheist believes gods do not exist.

Can you imagine how bad the mass murderers feel being compared to Clinton?
Clinton is not a patriot.
Patriots don't receive draft notices and not report, while remaining in the public spotlight.
Can you name another president with that history?
No.
The Clintons are rakes, liars, America-hating whores, and narcissists.
Slick Willie murdered 80 of his citizens at Waco. He likely forcibly raped Juanita Broderick.
The appeal to patriotism is the last refuge.
Wow

Its like you crawled down into the sewer and decided there wasn't enough shit it in it and came back with your own

Nobody who simply wanted power or money would ever want to be a president. It is a terrible job and the people with real power and real money stay clear of public service. While some of the lower levels of public service are simply opportunists, nobody that takes public service all the way to the presidency does so without loving their country. And presidents are vetted so hard that fakes don't make it through the process.

You are intentionally distorting what I wrote when you claim "The appeal to patriotism is the last refuge." If you aren't smart enough to debate without lying maybe you ought to wait till an exchange comes by you can honestly participate in? An appeal to patriotism is not what I am doing at all. What I am doing is recognizing that certain people are patriots. I don't believe for a second you don't understand the difference. I'm not sitting in a Jerry Springer audience chanting "U-S-A". I am giving credit where it is due to people who through their actions, even decades into their post-presidency, are still dedicating their life to this country because they care.

Man, watching hate spread is like watching cancer cells spread. It infects everything

I can't tell you how we atheists divide between the gnostic and agnostic positions, that is, which is prevailing. It is my hope that most of us will come to understand the limits of knowledge and limit our gnostic atheism to the married bachelor type gods - those that actually can be ruled out analytically - and acknowledge that we can say no more about gods that aren't logically impossible than we can about leprechauns and Russell's teapot.
<quoted text>
Any atheist that claims to know with certainty that no gods can or do exist is making a faith based statement - with atheism being the preferred position of the two. It's the one that includes rational skepticism.
<quoted text>
What unbeliever in this discussion has no belief about gods? I believe that gods PROBABLY don't exist, but perhaps I should modify that to possibly. What I say is that my belief is not based on my atheism. Any atheist that claims to know with certainty that no gods can or do exist is making a faith based statement also not based on his atheism. In each case, we are saying more than what atheism requires: nonacceptance of god claims.
" Any atheist that claims to know with certainty that no gods can or do exist is making a faith based statement..."

No, that person is lying.

The "faith-based statement" is to believe, or embrace the proposition that no god exists.

" I believe that gods PROBABLY don't exist, but perhaps I should modify that to possibly."

I can live quite well with someone of that position. I think this is a clear, honest elucidation on your part. I would be a quibberdick on your terminology, but if that is what you believe, there is no great chasm between us.

I don't believe the "married bachelor" gods exist, either.

I believe some over-arching intelligence exists, and we are part of it.

I can't prove it, and to further detail it is interesting, but I really don't know.

At times, I have doubts of even that. But then, at times, I doubt everything.
