No, I don't. It's more about logic than science. In the absence of evidence that something is so, skepticism is always a more reasonable response than belief.
Do you believe that? Sure can't prove it!

I agree, it is an abstract. I was asking for an example of empirical evidence that would prove that it exists?

Fallacy in logic, absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.
You gotta have a better argument than that, there are many things you believe without evidence.

Yes it is, if the evidence should be there. If God suspended laws of physics to interact with this universe we would be able to detect it.

3+2 is not empirical evidence of anything. Try again.

What do you base your assumptions of evidence on?

Wolverine! You changed your screen name!

Your example is meaningless because nobody is claiming the number 5 is an entity, a god, a creator of the universe. People do not claim the number 5 told them in a vision how we all must live our lives. 5 is a term coined to represent a numerical value not an actual sentient being so trying to compare a numerical value to a supposed god who spoke to ancient goat fckers is clueless.

It would be like comparing Beethoven and 8.

It's nothing more than pointless mental bubble gum.

The theist claims there is a god and people should believe in it/them. The atheist seeing no observable proof for this assertion decides not to believe. Until you can demonstrate observable proof for a god the atheist is on solid ground, and you know it.

Well this isn't the math forum this is the atheist forum. Your 5 question doesn't work because we know the origins of god and numbers. 5 didn't supposedly speak to ancient people, 5 didn't interact with them did it? So already your example fails. But just for laughs and to spike the football...

Assume 5 does not exist.

Let x = 0
Let y = 2

Any pair of numbers have a number between them, known as the arithmetic mean.

Take the arithmetic mean of x and y:
(x + y)/2 =(0 + 2)/2 = 1

But we now have a result of a number that shouldn't exist.

Since we have a contradiction, this proves that our initial assumption was incorrect.

Therefore 1 exists -- proof by contradiction.

So after destroying your number example do you have observable proof for this god entity? Remember you can't say god is merely abstract because we know about any god because of the god's supposed interactions with people, hence the god assertion cannot be an abstract proposition.:)

Now we know you lack the IQ to understand this but to those with the required IQ your question has been thoroughly answered.

Sure.
Anyone that says "I've read the bible, cover to cover. I understand it." is nuts.
That's like saying you read a neuroscience book and now you're a neurosurgeon.
The bible takes a lifetime to study and know. Most people never do.
It seems odd that your god would make the primary source of information about him so indecipherable...
