How is that possible when the hobbit actually precedes LOTRs ?
There were parts of LOTR that they kind of went past. In this movie, they did a good job of setting up the stuff that happens in LOTR. Now when they are watched in the proper order, everything will fall into place.I think that was Peter Jacksons intentions, He wanted to make the Hobbit before the rings, but for some reason, the studio wanted rings first. Sorry about that, I didnt do a very good job splain it the first time.

How about "In Time"?
It did have Olivia Wilde, and Clementia would want to know that it has Scarecrow in it too (Cillian Murphy).
Yh, scarecrow!!

That's true.

Not left out... but, rather... As yet untold.

It's been like 25 years since I read the books... but, I want to say that particular incident (stone trolls; how it happened being told) was in Fellowship. Looking around online makes me think so a little more.

I dunno.

That had Justin Long. I didn't like it.

In Time had Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried.

It's about a world where life-time can be transferred from person to person. The rich have hundreds or thousands of years on their clocks, while the poor live, literally, day to day. Time is a commodity that can be bought, sold, and traded. It's a pretty good movie.

Yeah LOL When I took the family to see the first one, I had to explain everything to them, cause they never read the books. I understood everything that went on, but I didnt realize how it was for someone who didnt read all the books a dozen times.
