I wasn't referring to "posts", Hukt. I was referring to your ONE post.
The one that started with: "Light's speed is constant.".
As I said, that very first line was in error, so why bother with the rest?
You might as well have started with "Oxygen us bad for you.".
I would've ignored the rest of that post, too...
It isn't my problem that you didn't know what post we were talking about >>> The post submitted on the other thread before the post on this thread was submitted.

About the post you're talking about...

It was just explained why you should bother with the rest of it. When read in full... the first sentence is not in error.

I see now that you're going after little things (/posts/post/).

Typical strategy of one whose argument is flawed.

Ubuntu's a fine OS.
I can't really comment on Unity; have no experience with it.... but, yours seems to be the prevailing opinion.
Did you ever install Red Hat 5.1... with “Red Neck Internationalization”?
http://www.ninesys.com/fun/
It was hilarious.... to me, anyway... at the time.
Never could get Red Hat to install right on any computer I had. Was an epic to get, anyhow, back then. I started with Debian, went with Slackware for a while, then back to Debian and then Ubuntu.

Linux grew faster than I could keep up with after Debian 3. So much security stuff they inserted.

Ubuntu is well maintained and does about everything out of the box. Just a few tweaks is all it needs. The Unity is something they are going to for commercial purposes, some lens thing to search for specific products. Ubuntu wants to wind up on other platforms, too. I do like the window closing on the left once I got used to it.

Kubuntu eats up too much resources with that KDE fo me. Too much like Windows. I like the simplicity of Gnome. I LOVE Totem. Plays everything, and I like Goom. Just wish I could come up with a file script to enqueue that survives release changes.

OS/2 was my favorite system. You could customize the hell out of that, all built in. But it died. No support.

Too old and tired to want to play with these things any more.

Omg dude... I thought OCB was anal retentive.

You take the cake.

All this time, I've been talking about that post of yours that started with "Light's speed is constant."

There was only one post of yours that started with that particular sentence.

That was the only post I've been referring to.

I know it sucks to lose, but you just did.

Ubuntu and all of it's derivatives suck. You also do realize that any media player on a Linux system can play any format that the others can play, correct? Totem, like MPlayer and all the others, are called front ends for a reason.

Uh huh.

I assume you like Scientific Linux. That's Red Hat.

Totem is a nice and simple interface for music and videos. Very well supported. I like the Goom visualization, also.

Not all can play everything. Depends on your sound system and libraries.

Tough shit if you don't like Ubuntu. I do. That's all thats counts.

This would play hell with atheism. Would point to something larger than our individual selves.

Of course, you would then get atheist apologetics, saying this universal consciousness sprang from stellar shit.
