Yes you are, you are arrogant enough to claim you have knowledge of something that is impossible to provide evidence for. That's arrogance.
No it isn't, that's confidence.

You have ONLY belief.
You don't know there's a god, let alone what its nature is.
You're as agnostic as I am... in reverse.
Bullshit. Again, an agnostic is a person that believes nothing can be known about God.

I'm not agnostic.

I didn't lie.
Also...
You're still ignoring the rest of the post you're referring to.
Read the post, the whole post, and nothing but the post... or stop bringing it up.
"Read the post, the whole post, and nothing but the post." ?!?

LOL, the post which starts with you writing "Light's speed is constant"?

And still claim to be in the right.
What a tool.
I am right. Poly confirmed it. Light's speed is not constant.

I'm currently running Mint 13 with Cinnamon on my desktop. Migrated when Ubuntu came out with Unity (I definitely agree someone needs to be slapped-repeatedly). My netbook runs Lubuntu 12.04. I have several distros (Fuduntu, Mageia, Fedora, Gentoo, etc) on virtual boxes just to play around with them and keep up. I went through Linux From Scratch, but didn't keep it as my main system. My router runs DD-WRT and I have a virtual box running Open-WRT. I've also played with Tomato on an old router. I have a partition with Win7 that I never use except under duress.

But, the speed of light in a vacuum *is* constant. Furthermore, nothing has ever been observed to move faster than light does in a vacuum.

Unless otherwise stated, when someone is talking about the constancy of the speed of light, they mean *in a vacuum*.

Well, everyone, I am going to be out of country for the next week or so and probably out of communication with topix. I hope everyone enjoys discussing whether c is constant!

I won't buy a new router unless it has a port of either Open-WRT or DD-WRT.

I think we've established that.

Now we have to get RR to play by the same rules he requires of others.

That will undoubtedly still be going on when you get back.

Have a good trip.

Well, you have some class. Not much brains, but some class.

I agree about Unity. I'm on 12.04 and will probably stay there. Ubuntu is the best package overall, I think. Just needs some tweaking. Get the gnome-session-fallback package and you can bury the Unity desktop. Use the alt and right click to manage the top panel and icons. I use Virtualbox with XP to do anything that requires Windows, such as Blackberry Desktop. Works well. I don't need virtualization turned on in the BIOS to use XP. Uses little space and resources. PlayonLinux is the wine package to get if you have some simpler windows programs to run. I can't live without Irfanview, and it does fine on that.

If you are using 11.04, you might as well go to 12.04, or wait for the new release which should be out next month. Just clone your disk first. One thing I love about Ubuntu is any issues you get, including from upgrades, and there is an answer a Google away.

PuppyLinux and RIPLinux on USB drives have saved my butt many times.

Oh, one thing that makes life with Ubuntu easier. Turn off recommended updates in software sources. Keeps a lot of cruft out.
