He may wish to reconsider that. When he sees what Buck really looks like even though he has those large breasts Dave may cut his eyes out instead of his fingers next time.

Nobody has a problem with that.
And that monument is to christians, at the exclusion of all others.
No it isn't.

The monument is to a person believed to have hung on one many years ago.

You know, kinda' like the monument to Washington, aptly called "The Washington Monument".

There are other examples. But I hope one is sufficient to clear up your confusion.

<quoted text> The disagreement is that you think we have it all figured out, when clearly we do not. There are many paradox right now and they are just the way that it is. We explain things as best as possible but are still lost when it come to conclusion about the universe as a whole.
No it’s not, the argument is over the meaning and use of the word paradox

Se can’t even agree what the argument is about -!!!

I know we have not got it figured out, I sometimes wish we had but then what would be left to argue with godbots over???

A paradox does not mean that something is not figured out, it means something that is self-contradictory. The universe is not self contradictory

Ya, true. I'd think it's kinda weird but I wouldn't try to stop them. As long as they're not sacrificing a goat or doing something illegal, I'd leave them be.
Yet, for some reason, you don't think that the central premise and iconography of your religion being a human sacrifice, is strange at all, and it's okay to promote that?

And what do you know? It's forming by natural processes. No sky wizard or anything supernatural in the least.
<quoted text>
How do you know nothing supernatural is present?

You can't possibly.

And if an unknown creative force were acting in natural processes, it would not be "supernatural" would it?

It would be natural.

Are you aware of every single thing that exists in natural processes?

If not, you can't judge whether something is "supernatural".

And if you did, and if it ever acted in natural processes, it would no longer be "supernatural".

Don't you hope I'm not watching next time you attempt to look smart?

I guess that settles the question - the word of a foreign theist and a rank idiot like you.

One wonders why those published and peer-reviewed PhDs trudge on with their ID research.

Yes there are. Plenty of evidence.
So Christians cannot defend their own sources? How else could they? You are accusing them of lying, being biased?
Think about that logically.
If the events DID happen ... how else is it to be reported? By those that witnessed it. And if they witnessed it, then they would be convinced that Jesus was God, and that it was all true.
What you are really saying if that you do not trust all the thousands of people during that time period of telling the truth. You are saying you don't trust people. You are saying they are primitive, and superstitious, and backwards. That is what you are saying.
And that tells me that you are a very bad person, and very contemptuous, and that you, yourself, cannot ever be trusted. If you do not see the folly of your own utterly irrational mind and total lack of logic ... the very notion that those that had been there 2000 years ago are not qualified to tell the truth, but you are? You know better than all those people back then?
Please, I dare you to rationalize your position. I dare you.
You either can't read or you're just plain stupid. First, there IS NOT "plenty of evidence" All you have are stories written in a holy book. And there were NOT Thousands of people who told stories of Jesus. Once again for the seriously brain dead. THERE ARE NO CONTEMPORARY ACCOUNT FOR JESUS OUTSIDE OF THE BIBLE. You do know what CONTEMPORARY means right? Stories told by someone decades after that person lived, does not constitute "Plenty of evidence."

Your own Theologians don'r even back you on this. Here: L. Michael White professor religious studies University of Texas........"The gospels are NOT biographies is the modern sense of the word, rather they are STORIES told in such a way as to evoke a certain IMAGE of Jesus for a particular audience."

Paula Fredriksen professor of the appreciation os scriptures Boston College...."The gospels of Jesus are a kind of religious advertisement"

Alan Callahan professor Harvard Divinity......You cannot take the gospels as a factual account of the life of Jesus. The gospels are of LITTLE VALUE as EYEWITNESS accounts of his life."

The fact is that people of that time WERE primitive, superstitious and backwards, why don't you understand that?

Don't be a dishonest Christian and put words into my mouth, you people are famous for that. I NEVER said people during that time "Lied" about Jesus. I said there are NO firsthand accounts for Jesus. People wrote about Jesus well after he had died. They did so from stories passed down, and we al know how a story told can be a completely different story when retold 20 years later. Anecdotal testimony does not equal evidence.

You dared me to solidify my position, I did, you lose!!!!

I'm not a fan, so I don't care, but giving a christian prayer to the exclusion of all others is considered to be promoting christianity on the taxpayers dime.
Who's doing that? Nobody's saying that only Christians can pray.

Except you...

Yes, it is.

Neither is it total freedom to choose between 3; or 4, or 3500.

But it is a freedom.

Have you ever considered that you can still fall out of bed when you dream
Ah, lovey, you don't understand the things you read, and thus "know".

Modern scientific thinking believes there is a switch called the Higgs' boson creating gravity. That is a process within a particle 30-40 times more massive than a proton. Don't know how they missed that all of these years.

Anyhow, that is the magical mystical belief of modern physics. I'm a little more realistic with gravity being a lesser density created by motion within the medium of space. Which means we are part of a larger universe. None of this popping outta nuttin' you believe in.

My consciousness was oriented to gravity, but it sure wasn't confined by it during my NDE. There was an odd switching going on binding me to this body. Happens in your dreams, too.
