Um...no.
Atheism is a lack of a belief in a god.
Glad to help.
Thank you,

You have now cleared that up in your own mind. There’s lacking in the world scientific facts on how all life started from a once sterile environment. Atheist accept life self created and self started. Self building the complex DNA codes for every simple and complex life forms.

This blind conviction of a lifeless world exploding into many and varying life forms by self creation is incomprehensible. Yet these Atheist beliefs are based without scientific proof. When it comes to billions of people throughout time that believed and still believe in a higher divine power. Atheist require proof, visible scientific proof.

Actually, the lack of belief is agnosticism. It is a passive thing. Atheism is a denial, which is not passive, but definitive.

If you get on here prosyletizing atheism, then you have a belief. Which is most definitive.

Perpetual motion machines are a dead end? There's more evidence that a perpetual motion machine is possible than for puddles of goo to poof into life. At least an alleged perpetual motion machine will operate for a time before it stops. I don't know biochemistry?, and you do? Explain just how the puddle of goo comes to life, the world is waiting because the most brilliant minds on earth don't have a single viable clue.As you yourself said,...it isn't necessary to see abiogenesis, suspect it or find it. Thats not science by any measure,....thats faith.

When the eagle flaps his/hers wings he is going somewhere in a hurry.

A human flapping his/hers arms is going nowhere fast.

Such declarations not based on substantiation but ones own assertion that the self creation through happenstance is lucid. By which many Atheist do declare as not as faith but as fact. Even though they lack substantiation to their belief.
OMG, Eagle.

Nihility?

And what the f*ck are you saying?

By the way, you do know that Mark Twain (Samuel Clemens) was an atheist, don't you? One of his quotes: "A man is accepted into a church for what he believes and he is turned out for what he knows."

Yes, but why?
Because the best way to fight superstition is to challenge it.
RiversideRedneck wrote:
I don't believe that Zeus is real, neither do the atheists. Otherwise they'd be on some kind of "prove there's a Zeus" thread & knocking people down all day everyday for believing in Zeus.
But they don't. The atheists focus their attention right at God. Right at Christians.
It's not hard to see the difference here. Zeus-worship has no influence on our society whatsoever, while Christianity has a ton.

Those of us who believe its influence is negative are going to oppose it. Why would I spend any time opposing Zeus-worship when it's irrelevant?

God gave man both reason and free will. How we interpret God's commandments is up to us. Man's constructs of God's moral precepts (Mosaic code) have been degrading and injurious as depicted in the Jewish Old Testament, but God is infinitely patient. He knows His "children" learn through their error.
Jesus was a great teacher of common sense. His message (the New Testament) was the morality of absolute love and service. Only the lack of egotism can engender a respect for the freedom and dignity of other beings therefore one must be in the world, but not of the world.
you dont know your jebus very well do ya?

In the last few years, Christians have pushed a political agenda for the concept of "family values." Nowhere does the Biblical Jesus ever mention the phrase "family values" nor does he even mention the word "family." On the contrary, it appears that the life style of Jesus contradicts the concept of modern Christian "family values." According to the Bible as well as Christian apologists, Jesus never raised a family, and never married or fathered children. Clearly, Jesus had no personal experience of a family. Furthermore, the words of Jesus expressed variance against family members:

For I am come to SET A MAN AT VARIANCE AGAINST HIS FATHER, AND THE DAUGHTER AGAINST HER MOTHER, AND THE DAUGHTER IN LAW AGAINST HER MOTHER IN LAW. And a MAN'S FOES SHALL BE THEY OF HIS OWN HOUSEHOLD.

-Matthew 10:35-36

Not only does the Bible claim that Jesus came to set man at variance against members of the family, but he demanded that anyone wishing to become a disciple must hate them:

If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.

-Luke 14:26
