I understand, but you have had a entire life to have done something for someone. Even sending $5.00 to the Red Cross or Salvation Army is something.
Oh, you mean my whole life. Well ...

Assisted with the rehab of over 100 addicts.

Worked in soup kitchens.

Donated blood and plasma for free.

Advocated for better shelters and more homes for the homeless.

Adopted stray animals.

Volunteer teacher for the developmentally disabled.

Voluntarily teaching free classes to the homeless on computer skill ranging from common use to programming.

Assist many people interested in coding careers with their class work, for free.

Helping people locate resources to help with their needs just to help them.

Then of course there's the holding the doors and such for those who need it without grumbling about it, but that's just common courtesy.

Even I don't believe that.
Consider the god mentioned in the book, consider the "suffer for all eternity" punishment for not believing, consider the genocides that are easily justified by the doctrine, consider the indoctrination. You'd have to be sadistic, tyrannical, or completely insane to believe that's a good doctrine to follow, much less to consider that a "loving" deity.

Most may not be that bad, but it attracts sadists, it also hides sadistic behaviors very well. When you worship something sadistic, you have to approve or like sadism.

But you know, and I know, that that is not what motivates most people to Christianity.

We've got cleaners for that reason. But I still couldn't get a large percentage of the world's fauna on board.

And wtf happened to the Giant Redwoods in the great flood?

Good thinking :)

I have heard the battlefield earth novel is better than the movie. I caught the movie on Netflix for laughs, check out the nostalgia critic's review on it.

:)

P.S. scientologists are batsht insane and even many of Hubbard's own friends say when it came to Scientology Hubbard was a wicked man because he didn't even believe in it but just wanted to take advantage of the weak minded.
