Atheism requires as much faith as religion? bearvspuma : The only problem with this rationalization is that ita s assuming all athiests are so because theya re intelligent in the ways of science and reasoning and all people that believe in a form of god are unintelligent.

It's funny how you care to even ask, not believing in God and all.
Why is it that atheists talk more about God than any group of people the earth has ever habituated?
None of my atheist friends talk about deities. They think it's stupid that I come on here to bother with ignorant, uninformed people who despise the wonderful variety of human cultural expression and belief like yourself.

Only certain portions are, Dave. The differences between southern Georgia, middle Georgia and northern Georgia are extreme and varied.
I'm from there, and grew up there.
You get that in neighborhoods of big cities.

Georgia came a long ways fast.

<quoted text>More lineal thinking on atheists part.
According to astronomical observations, galaxies like our own experience about one supernova (a violently-exploding star) every 25 years. The gas and dust remnants from such explosions (like the Crab Nebula) expand outward rapidly and should remain visible for over a million years. Yet the nearby parts of our galaxy in which we could observe such gas and dust shells contain only about 200 supernova remnants. That number is consistent with only about 7,000 years worth of supernovas.

One of the hallmarks of a godbot is they NEVER answer a question.

Oh! BTW which god there 30,000+ of them and 32,000+ christian sects and 4billion Hindi gods?

If you prayed to all of them for one second each in turn. It would take you 126.72 years to pray to all of them.

<quoted text> From your link: "The information we have regarding the provenance of the Papyrus Ipuwer is that it was copied by 19th Dynasty scribes and constitutes a part of what is known as the Papyrus Leiden 334."
Notice, that it says it was >copied< in the 19th Dynasty.
More about the 19th Dynasty and timeline.
"The Pharaohs of the 19th dynasty ruled for approximately one hundred and ten years: from ca 1292 to 1187 BCE." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nineteenth_Dynas...
As I said before, the dates do not match. Some more information.
"An Egyptian named Ipuwer wrote it at the end of the Middle Kingdom, around 1650 B.C.E.; scribes copied it in the 19th Dynasty, in the 1200s B.C.E" - Roger Isaacs, Author,'Talking With God'
Ipuwer Papyrus info @wikipedia.
"The dating of the original composition of the poem is disputed, but several scholars have suggested a date between the late 6th dynasty and the Second Intermediate Period (ca. 1850 BCE-1600 BCE),[4] and appears to describe how the Hyksos took over Egypt.
Cut your post for space. There are actually three references. Papyrus Ipuwer
2. Ermitage Papyrus.[The Ermitage-Leningrad]
3. Monolith of El-Arish.[Museum of Ismailia]

I can agree with that somewhat. The larger cities, populated areas, and College towns can and are pretty progressive.

But, some(not all) of the rural areas are just as racist, misogynistic and bigoted as they ever were.
