It’s just the way it is. My brother, Mark was raised in church, after he turned 18 he left the church and went his own way. He became an alcoholic and drug addict. During this time he made a long police record. One time the Houston Police Swat team had to go in and get him out of a house he was holding his wife hostage with a 12 gauge shotgun. In the last 4 years he started going back to church. He was delivered from alcohol and drugs. Shortly after coming back to God he lost his wife to drug and alcohol abuse, she died. Now his two boys are grown and living in and out of jail. Living the hard life that he once lived. God and the church saved my little brother. He was on his way to killing himself. So you think church is a bad influence? Just look what is out there that wants your children. Need I remind everyone that religious drug rehabilitation, has about as much a success rate than all the others 5%(when you include the number of dropouts). Also the West isn't that dangerous and for more educated you are, the more likely you are to be a decent human being.

So you are a 1) liar 2) coward 3) idiot for Jesus? Well...more accurately I insult your beliefs. But I don't wish to insult you personally. I don't know you. You're a stranger to me. I hope your life is one of happiness and contentment. If you thought I insulted that was not my intent, if an apology is needed then I submit one. Now, what you think I'm for Jesus, is of no consequence. What Jesus thinks I'm for Him, is really all that matters. And after God willing living many more yrs in this life and body Jesus has blessed me with, I will find out. I'm pretty confident, Jesus will commend me for what I'm for him, pretty confident indeed.

Eagle12 wrote: <quoted text> Wiki: The practice of cyberbullying is not limited children and, while the behavior is identified by the same definition when practiced by adults, the distinction in age groups sometimes refers to the abuse as cyberstalking or cyberharassment when perpetrated by adults toward adults. Common tactics used by cyberstalkers are performed in public forums, social media or online information sites and are intended to threaten a victim's earnings, employment, reputation, or safety. Behaviors may include encouraging others to harass the victim and trying to affect a victim's online participation. Many cyberstalkers try to damage the reputation of their victim and turn other people against them. Cyberstalking may include false accusations, monitoring, making threats, identity theft, damage to data or equipment, the solicitation of minors for sex, or gathering information in order to harass. A repeated pattern of such actions and harassment against a target by an adult constitutes cyberstalking.[4] There are consequences of law in offline stalking and online stalking, and cyber-stalkers can be put in jail.[5] Cyberstalking is a form of cyberbullying. Now a question for you mate. Do you want to continue your silly act of cyber stalking or do you want to engage in some serious dialog? What I have see so far from you has been well lets say shallow. Most bullies have a low IQ and I think you are no exception. He's asked you to counter his counter argument, he's not stalking you.

It's not a put down. It's just clear that you've either gone to an entirely Christian school, like Oral Roberts, or you haven't been at all. I'm guessing the later. Your miscomprehension of all things science is stunning, honestly. You think its science. I'm entitled to my opinion, and many scientists and others agree with me that evolution theories used to explain human origination, is not science. You do learn some science, but there is a point when your valid science credentials training and learning, leaps into the realm of junk science and pseudo-science. Only you know in your head where that line exist. Oral Roberts is a University hiding, or did you not know that? Oh!. Because it was named after a famous American Christian Evangelist, then its not a real university in your view is it? LOL. you so cute hiding. Did I attend a University? I don't see why that is important considering my purposes on topix, but if you really want to know, yes I did. That's it. Do not ask me the discipline, school or the level of degree. I don't like revealing much of anything on topix about myself. So the fact that I said yes, let that be enough. Whatever criticisms are leveled, I'm not revealing anymore.

Judging you or your intelligence isn’t my job. Actually I do retract it. At least you can admit that your atheism is weak That's fine. We all sometime or another was searching.

If you ever experienced Him, you would know that.
Give it a try. Seek Jesus mentally and emotionally with all you have, and when you experienced Jesus, you will become addicted to Him, like I have :)
When you experienced God Jesus Christ, you will know. And you will do everything in your power, to experienced God everyday. Experiencing God...is better than any drug. Its a high, that's unexplainable, but its addictive.
Go for it!. If you don't try <shrugs>, oh well, sucks for you, you're missing out.
But I have that high...man it is such an awesome high!. In fact I think I will read my bible right now...you atheists are becoming a bore. I prefer pot.

I also believe the Genesis account of creation. That everything was created in six days.
How can I believe both?
Genesis was written to a unlearned civilization. The story of creation had to be written in the simplest forms for them to understand. The six days of creation are the six steps or six stages of creation.
It comes down to what is the proper interpretation of GodÂ’s work day? GodÂ’s work day isnÂ’t the same as mans. It doesnÂ’t have to be. Well, even still, he really screwed up the order of things.

And gave Human Beings the knowledge to invent and create. That same human being comes up with a hypothesis to find out if the Infinite Intellect God exist? If you was God, would you not laugh? Here is a being you created with limited knowledge, that goes and makes up some limited knowledge theory guess or an hypothesis, to see if you the God that has infinite Wisdom exist? That is the reason Christians..and frankly people that believe a God exists, laugh at atheist and some of the practices out there that is used to see if God exist or not. So the atheist laughs at the thiest...the theist has every reason to turn around and laugh right back at the atheist. If I were God I would have patience, after all mortals make theories and hypotheses on limited knowledge, to make that knowledge a little bit bigger. Because you gave the example of God creating human beings, I will use that same example to show why God can be considered as a scientific hypothesis. God created humans directly, because God is all knowing and God is all-powerful this design would not have mistakes. How to classify a mistake a flaw that that are solvable by knowledge we have now if we were the designer. Hypothesis Human beings are designed perfectly. Null hypothesis Human beings have flaws that are solvable by present-day knowledge. Example 1 eyes Although birds have better eyes than ours, this shall not be classified as a mistake because we need powerful eyes. Example 2 nervous system The nerve going from our brain to the voice box goes past the heart and up again, mimicking a fish’s nervous system. This should be classified as a flaw for it would be easier to connect the brain to the voice box directly (the distance between your brain and your voice box, is only a few inches). There you have it God in the eyes of science, the most brutal discovery mechanism we can be sure there is.

So the atheist laughs at the thiest...the theist has every reason to turn around and laugh right back at the atheist. Let me try and explain the reasons why God can be considered a hypothesis, using your example. If God directly created human beings there be no flaws in its design. A flaw to be classified as, some thing we can do better if the designer with our knowledge, after all if we can't better ad design, we have no reason to doubt that God messed up. Hypothesis Human anatomy has no flaws. Null hypothesis Human anatomy has flaws. Example 1 the human eye Although it is the case that birds have better eyes, this shall not be classified as a flaw, in fact it could be a sign of design, we don't need such powerful eyes as birds do, we don't need to see miles away. Example 2 nervous system The nerve going from the brain to the voice box, goes down past the heart and then up again, this is a flaw as the distance between the brain and the voice box is only a few inches, there is no need for this much “wiring”. Conclusion Based upon example 2 human beings were not designed by God directly, continue searching for an explanation. It may seem a bit harsh just to dismiss the idea that God designing us, on one piece of evidence but an explanation must account for all fact’s, an explanation that does not do so can be considered refuted.(On a side note because wave light theory couldn't account for one fact, actually lead to quantum theory that could explain that fact and all the fact the previous did.)

what the? where did example 2 go? Here it is Example 2 the nervous system The distance between the voice box and the brain is only a few inches, but yet the nerve going to voice box at first goes past the voice box, and then pass the heart only then going up.
