You have already let the Anti-Science take hold of your brain and squeeze the thinking right out of you.

You know that Christians have been saying this since the beginning of Christianity, right?

Your children are also going to believe it's the end of days when they're as old as you, and then their children, and so on (if they remain Christian).
Eventually, one of them will be right.

Hopefully, the rest of us will have figured out how to get off the planet.

Not collecting stamps is a hobby.

I spend way too much time at that.

Nearly all of it, actually.

In fact, I spend so much time not collecting stamps, that I don't have time for nothing else.

<quoted text>Hey here's a thought.

Now don't jump all over me, it's just an idea I'm throwing out.

Maybe my dog won't hunt, but here goes:

The "length" of a donut (or, properly, doughnut) is infinite at first--it goes round and round forever.

But once you take a bite, the doughnut loses its infinite quality.

What do you think? Any wisdom here?

If you don't like it, we can go back to our debate on the separation of church and state.
Only if you bite all the way through to the doughnut hole.

Yes, they patrolled the beaches of Perth, Australia.

And right there, on the sand, they saved some poor lost souls.

Druggies as I recall.

Maybe they retired.

With a pension.

You can't say "It is done" if there is more "to do".
You are either very stupid or a damned liar!

Oh Wait! You are a proven liar many times over here.

There's no question their god is vengeful and nasty enough to do that.

Yes. Jesus' personal mission on earth is complete. His life, death, and resurrection. That was his earthly mission and purpose here on earth when Jesus lived as a human, and that is finished.
It is very important to know, has all the prophecies, about jesus, been fulfilled? ALL Prophecies.
bossdrop wrote:
As far as Satan/Lucifer...again details are few in the bible. But obviously Lucifer is a very powerful angel. Lucifer knew he could not defeat God, but he figured he could defeat the human.
Where is that in the bible? From my understanding, Lucifer and 1/3 of the angels fought god and the other 2/3 in heaven, before man was created.
bossdrop wrote:
And he did. Obviously there were angels for that wanted to rebel with Satan. You're trying to intellectualize the spiritual world. You can't. Figure out this realm you're in the physical realm. You cannot as a physical being truly understand all that went down with
Satan/Lucifer/God/Jesus/Holy Spirit/Angels in the spiritual world.
Again, how do you know this?
bossdrop wrote:
God only gave humans a slight glimpse through inspiration. Thing you must realize with Satan, is that Satan wants to be worshiped. God made humans to worship Him. Satan through envy, hatred, whatever...wanted that worship for himself. And you know what...billions of humans today worship Satan. Like you. Not knowingly of course, but Satan is your god.
I get it, I worship satan by simply not worshiping your god. To feel worshiped, the devil does not need me to believe in him, he just needs me to not believe in your god! Not at all silly! Millions of women adore me, just because they do not know you exist!
bossdrop wrote:
Well God created Lucifer. So in a sense you can say God created evil.
I didn't say it, your god said it.
bossdrop wrote:
But God is not a source of evil. Evil was found in Lucifer, and Lucifer became a source of evil, who is Satan. Satan tempted the human, the human was enticed and sinned. Once the human sinned, the human through Satan became a source of sin. And Jesus had to die for the human to overcome the sin nature inherited through Adam.
Again, god claimed that he authored evil! Why are you still arguing that point? God made the claim, plain as day.

You do not know how long the earth was around before God created the Human. Adding up the bible history and arriving at 6000yrs is a whole lot different than a verse stating the physical earth is 6000yrs old. There is no verse that says that.
Could God do it in 600yrs? sure He could. But the bible did not state how old the earth is.
It sure does! God said that the universe, animals, and man were created in 6 days and from then on, god told us the how much time passed between each person from adam to jesus. Again, you are arguing what is spelled out, in the bible!
bossdrop wrote:
The bible is broken down into the
literal/prophetic/allegorical/ poetry/parables/existential/hy perbole/etc.
I don't believe the 7day creation in the bible is literal. Others may disagree.
I understand. You get to pick and choose what you like from the bible. You know that the Earth is billions of years old and that does not fit with the bible, so you call it "allegorical/poetry/parab les/existential/hyperbole/etc ".
bossdrop wrote:
You want to start to unravel the mystery of the bible and start to learn recognize what category each verse of the bible belongs to...
literal/prophetic/allegorical/ poetry/parables/existential/hy perbole/etc?
Do you really believe, that a god would put together, or allow a book to be put together, that would confuse the creation that he wants to save? Every christian believes and reads the bible differently and that makes the bible one of the worst guides ever written!
bossdrop wrote:
Accept Jesus Christ and through His Holy Spirit you will begin to learn <grin>
I did that as a child and it did not make a difference.
bossdrop wrote:
Now as far as what I believe. No one is forcing you to believe the Christian Doctrine. But that is what I believe. And its a whole lot more rational than what you believe atheist.
You keep saying that to yourself, if it makes you feel better. The very definition of faith makes your beliefs irrational.
bossdrop wrote:
You will never know how this universe and the human being originated. And it does not matter how much you ridicule the Christian theology, it won't stop that horrific screaming in the back of your mind everyday you wake up, that GOD IS.
There is, "horrific screaming in the back of your mind"? You know this, how? You know that I will not know, "how this universe and the human being originated." or will man never know. If you mean, just me, you are probably right, but if you mean that man will never know, then you are being silly. How many people thought that we would never fly, and even shouldn't fly, since god did not give us wings. How many people thought that we could not fly to the moon? Saying that man will never know something is quite foolish.

Daily Horoscope for May 21

Leo

This is a great day for fixing things that have gone wrong. If there have been ructions in your relationship with a certain person this is when you can sort things out and get them back on track. If an appliance or gadget is going on the blink, this is your cue to either get it mended or chuck it out and replace it. You may also find time to tidy up your immediate surroundings or take all those bottles and papers to your nearest recycling center. How virtuous you'll feel when it's all done!
