We could discuss the Constitution.

Only experiences in the naturalistic realm can be proven, anything else borders on insanity.
That's what I said kid.
Your science is limited and restricted to ONLY what you call the "naturalistic realm".
Your tool of discovery is very limited in it's ability and scope.
Your disconnected "out" is to say this - "anything else borders on insanity."

His "peers" once thought Einstein insane too.
You are beginning to bore me kid. You will not explore possibility. You are perhaps just a verbose timid coward me thinks, hiding behind your tool.

No.
That's why I stated earlier that Satan doesn't cause things to happen.
You don't understand the concept of causation, Redneck.

Some of us here do.

You should have stayed in school, you might have avoided making a fool of yourself "continually."

That idea.

Tell us again how "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof" magically translates into "schoolteachers can't have a classroom prayer".

Go.

Causation is simply the action of causing something.

Let's say I offer you one of my cigarettes, and you say no. Then I nag you, I ask you some more, and I nag you, and eventually I talk you into it and you smoke that cigarette.

Did I cause that or did you?

I understand that you are brainwashed into magical thinking.

But in this case, no magic is required.

The Supreme Court interprets the language of the Constitution.

It has so done. You're free to google for the governing decisions.

You'll just have to deal with it.

Or get appointed to the Supreme Court.

No.

I repeat: You have no understanding of the concept of causation.

Have you heard of "proximate cause"?

Google it and, if you still need help with understanding, get back to me.

How about I readily accept that cigarette from you, promptly crush it up and throw it away?
Are you going to then be pissed at me for not smoking it?

Any fool knows that influence can often create causation. It is therefore acceptable to conclude that having influence over another is one way that influence does in fact equate to causation.
What the hell do you think the oldest trick in the book is when it comes to creating a war?

?
Incorrect.
Causation would be the underlying factor which made the action happen.
Influence can be the causation of an action, any action, including acting upon and for a cause.
Hunger can be the causation for an act of robbery.
Pain can be the causation for crying out.

If I were to tie you down and force you to smoke the cigarette, then you could accuse me of proximate cause.

You smokes the cigarette yourself, you fell to peer pressure.

Whose at fault for you voluntarily smoking that cigarette.?

You say I'm incorrect then give two examples that show I'm correct.

Brilliant.

"Hunger can be the causation for an act of robbery"
-Causation is simply the action of causing something-
"Hunger can be the 'the action of causing' a robbery"

"Pain can be the causation for crying out"
-Causation is simply the action of causing something-
"Pain can be 'the action of causing' crying out"

Double brilliant.

And I did suggest google for you.

<quoted text>No thanks, you go right ahead and ride across that river, from what I understand about eternity, it's going to end up actually being hell for you. People need challenges, goals, things to achieve, we are conditioned to a beginning and an end, putting someone into an eternal situation which automatically negates challenges, goals, and any kind of achievements will become a hell in the end. Nothing to aspire to, time upon endless time, no beginning and worse, no end. No thanks I'll except my end as a part of life, making way for those behind, content with the accomplishments and the good I have achieved, the small bit of beauty I brought to others, the lasting pieces of me left for those future generations to listen to. I'll accept my end with dignity knowing that this is the reality I live in, and not whine and cry like an infant so afraid of the dark and the end. So afraid that creating a fictitious place to ease your fears becomes necessary. Why are all of you people so insanely afraid of death?
I'll have a vikings funeral, light my sailboat on fire and push me out into my beloved Atlantic Ocean.
My good Doctor I know you have spent no time understanding what the bible says about heaven. Because you donít believe in heaven. But for the sake of understanding your enemy letís talk about heaven.

Heaven will not be spherical like the earth but symmetrical. It has 12 levels and each level has the land mass equivalent to the United States. The space between each level is one hundred miles. Here on earth the atmosphere is where life can live is about two miles.
In heaven there will be streets and the streets will be transparent. Meaning you can look down to the next level 100 miles away. There are 12 gates meaning we will have the ability to come and go. In addition there will be treeís and water. Heaven will not be like a nursing home.

I believe thereíre new worlds awaiting us after we get through celebrating in heaven. The bible says we as in Godís children, will reign as Kings and Priest. This all equates to having lots of fun my Good Doctor. I would that you could be there because I bet you like to party. And party is what we that are planning to go to heaven will do.

Inapposite, Redneck.

Tell you what. Google "Palsgraf."

Read, read again, and read once more. Don't just go to Wikipedia, try several sources. There are subtleties to digest.

Once you feel comfortable with the concepts, get back to me.

This will cause you to become educated.

One more concept for you to google: Tautological.

After you have done this, tell us whether your statement, "Causation is simply the action of causing something" is anything but tautological.

I could add, "go", but I'm not the thread idiot.
