Definitely! My grandpa, 79, did not want to have one of those. But upon our persistent prodding, he gave in. Now, he thanks us for a renewed interest in the life.

A friend of mine waited too long to get help for his hearing loss until recently. He purchased a model from Zounds Hearing (I think it was the Potenz power hearing system.). I was amazed how technology can make a difference in a person's life.

As a person who studies health, I understand how limiting deafness can be to people. I encourage them to consider hearing aids, like the Zounds hearing systems.

Flashing me back to the original SNL and the "news for the hearing impaired" skit with Garrett Morris. That's the one where 'news anchor' Jane Curtin would say a headline, and then in the inset at the corner of the screen Garrett Morris would cup his mouth and shout the same headline – for the hearing impaired!

Haha. Thanks PDX Dave! Brings back funny parodies of the then-common practice of providing sign language interpretation in an inset. That's SNL!

To question the practicality of hearing aids is unthinkable, especially to the hearing-impaired. My friend, for one decided to make a Zounds Hearing purchase and it changed his life. It took him a long time to finally come to terms with his hearing predicament. Glad he did. Changed his life and his relationships with people.

While it's quite an expenditure, a hearing device investment is all worth it. Hear it from me who's seen my dad suffer from hearing loss for far too long.

No Doubt! hearing aids, like those from Zounds Hearing, are worth the money. I've seen people's lives change and significantly improve with them.

No matter what brands they may be, they are something that the hearing-impaired should behold.

Prevention is still better than cure. That said, here is a great read on how to preserve good hearing: http://www.webmd.com/healthy-aging/prevention .

But when things go wrong, and hearing is affected, nothing is more important than the help of a hearing aid device.

Definitely. Hearing aids do not restore your hearing to normal, but they improve it significantly.

Buying a hearing aid is more than just an investment in the purchase price of the device but also in the time you will spend wearing the device,

Think of hearing aids as being a “bionic” and a great investment when your overall health is your top priority.
