As I stated earlier, about 75% of the blacks are 'intellectually challenged' and still have not evolved.
Of course, they wish to continue blaming whites for over 150 years of their lack of intellectual competitiveness. 75% of the U.S. black population have an IQ between 70 to 100. There is no other race on the planet with so much of their race so inferior in intellect.
Reasonably, you cannot try to figure out why they do what they do.
Just as monkeys are very attracted to bright shiny objects, so are blacks. Hence, the 'bling' factor.
Monkeys will actually steal and even fight you for shiny objects. Blacks are exactly the same.
As far as their children being named weird and bizarre names, in the typical black person's mind, they think those types of names are flashy, colorful, bright, and shiny....even though their child might be dog ugly...they feel it adds some needed beauty to their child.
Many people have accused a great percentage of blacks as being retarded. I personally give blacks a bit more credit as in IQ, anything under 70 is considered retarded. Average is 100 - 110.
I don't think a great percentage of them fall below 70 in IQ but rather I think there is a great percentage of them just above that IQ...Again, 70 - 100 is about 75% of the blacks IQ.
I can only suggest not to try and figure out why monkeys do everything they do and so is the same with blacks since they choose to remain in their own bubble and have a harder time doing simple rational decision making and maintaining mental stability, predictability, and dependability.
Some think many blacks were 'inbred'. Inbred animals typically have the characteristic of craziness and sudden and unpredictable snaps in behavior.
I don't know if a great number of the U.S. blacks are inbred over generations but you must admit, no matter if it is a case or inbred or some other means, the end results are the same...Not to be trusted, irrational under stress, and their perception of themselves and other things are often way off center to reality.

This is a very interesting thread. I've always wondered how and why someone would ruin another persons life with the stroke of a pen. TRUE STORY: My wife and I were in delivery room and there was a black ho who named her hatchling , Aquanetta. I just pictured this fat turd sitting on the john thinking of a name and bingo! A can of hairspray! Poor kid. Our daughter's name is Dr. Amy Sai........ If your going to name your child a regular name, SPELL IT REGULARLY!! I've seen Aimee or Sindy for Cindy and so on. Every time these kids give their name, they have to spell it! A curse for sure. Monkeys will be monkeys. Peace OUT

All the blacks and others on here defending this crap are full of bull. I work in the medical setting and encounter these bs names all the time and I ask the parents what they mean and they all say the same thing: "nothing, it just sounded nice." I have seen black fathers get embarrassed when asked about the crazy names their kids have, because it's the moms who are coming up with this crap. I'm sorry but adding ja or de or le to "white" name doesn't make it ethnic or african. LeBron is not ethic, JeVon is not ethic, ect...
And yes there is a social stigma to some of these names and they can hurt the childs changes for employment in the future. I had one patient who named their kid Villain. I asked how it was pronounced and mom said "Exactly how it looks."

You should try some of the names of our Zulu, Xhosa, San, Pedi, Sothu and Venda people

We have a security guard called, "Achieve".
We have a delivery man called "Good-Enough" and we have a tea lady called "Cough-cough".
These are their "English names". They are christened with cultural ie Zulu or Venda or Xhosa family names and the white people cannot pronounce them so they take on their English names.
We have a man that cleans the cars at our office and his name is Sonibonanie, which translated is "Good Morning". No one calls their child "Good Morning" but they do.

I have noticed that the celebrities in America are calling their new born babies the most weird names that mean absolutely nothing. Like one film personality named her daughter Dew Drop, Patent. For Chr----- sake this child has to go through life with a name like that.

It has nothing to do with the colour of your skin what names you give your child. It is just you want something "different". It is like pin the tail on the piggy. Just pin the tail and if you land on the word hopscotch then you name your child that It is hopelessly stupid.

Very interesting thread but it is predominantly black people that come up with "posh" names.

I've often wondered this question,I mean it can't be because of their "African heritage" (sorry, but if you're bored in the US then that is your heritage – not where people came from generations ago that you never met, from a place you've never been) I think it's just there penchant for "being black" and celebrating their "culture". But isn't it funny that job applications are not allowed to ask you what race you are, but a lot of times all they have to do is look at the name and they know instantly!

Regarding the "ridiculous names" – I've always wondered that myself. I mean it's not like an African thing, first of all they're not Africans! There are Americans, I just wish "they" would act like it. It all hearkens back to that whole 'hyphenated Americans' thing. It's all BS! Those people are not African-anything, native born in this country, I also think it's BS to have Chinese-Americans or any other kind of ethnicity. If you are born here, be an American and not try to be associated with clear your ancestors came from, BECAUSE THAT IS IMMATERIAL. And getting back to it, all those names are not African names, I guess it's all part of "being black". talk about a group that does everything they can to set themselves apart from the rest of society, and then complains because society treats them differently! People like that are their own worst enemy.

If you look around through out the web and other threads you will discover like traditional European names, AfroAmericans sought their "roots" in African ancestry, muslim religion, and attempts to elevate their children's self esteem by naming them something of prominence, with prestige or elevated status.

Degrading others is simply degrading yourself - even comical remarks are perceived as racist - unless someone of that race says it apparently.. And, attacking the ignorant that do so, displays ones own ignorance. Though it may be a knee jerk reaction to feeling you or your culture attacked - look a the bigger picture - and try to understand.

We will never have equality and equity together while we cling to tribalism or racism. It is incongruous to expect equality and special treatment at the same time. We are either all equal or not.

Slavery was a terrible chapter in the history of the immature world and societies. Herein America per the last census of 1860 only 1.4% of Americans - not all white - owned slaves. 98.6% of whites and others never owned slaves. Yet all whites are punished or made to feel guilty about slavery. More whites died trying to free and abolish slavery than owned slaves at the time of the Civil war. This truth is not popular or cinematically profitable. You won't hear the statistics in the black churches of hate and cultural division. There is no money to be made by the race baiters like Sharpton and Wright - who do not speak for any of us.

The only problem with the afro communities is real lack of leadership recognizing that the government is not helping their culture but enslaving them by destroying the family unit.

Seek the truth. Read "Run Away Slave," Seek out the fringe element of the AfroAmerican community, they will tell you the truth...

Really dude? You attack people's intelligence, stating that most people in this thread so not have a degree, then you go on to mispronouce, misspell, and butcher the English language with your"ebonics", which roots from African Americans unfortunate past being enslaved and oppressed and not being allowed to recieve an education. Ebonics started because the crazy as white men 150 years ago made it illegal for blacks to receive an education. There is no excuse for speaking that way now. An accent is a product of their environment, and English dialect it's determined be which region a person resides,it is not determined by the color of your skin. African Americans and whites attend the same schools and learn the same English language, we should all speak the same. Blacks are keeping racism alive by trying so hard not to act or talk white. It's not about being black or white, it's about being American. So stop making up woods and trying to be so different. By the way, shaniqua dontee and knowshonn are not African names. So go get an educatio simpleton
