Cleaning up a bad neighborhood - Saints of Los Angeles

I met a new friend, he plays bass for an old friend's band, and I guess that he is in a group called, "The Saints of Los Angeles," and I guess that he buys apartment complexes in bad neighborhoods, and stuff, and they go into bad neighborhoods and they work to try to make the neighborhoods nice. So, I sent him some advice on Facebook, as I have had some experience with helping to clean up bad neigborhoods, and here is the advice that I gave him, I will share it with you...
Hey Dude, here are some ideas on cleaning up a bad complex, and for getting along in a gang neighborhood...
When I first moved into this complex my Uncle Dennis and I passed out a diesel truck full of free ice cream to all of my neighbors, it was cool, a trucker pulled up and asked us if we wanted to pass out free ice cream to all of my neighbors, and we said "Yes," and we made history in this neighborhood. So right away my neighbors loved me, I was the guy who gave them all free ice cream on a hot summer evening. And we established this place as being out of the ordinary.
Then the manager here started kicking all of the bad people out of the complex. She kicked out all of the wife beaters, and she kicked out the drug addicts who were late on their rent, and she kicked out the drug dealers (she saw them selling drugs on the security cameras and stuff), she kicked out so many people that she ended up with a lot of empty apartments, she had like thirty empty apartments, and then she told the good people that she would give them a five hundred dollar referral fee for referring their good friends and family if they moved in here, and so instantly this place was full of good people. Then, once it became a great complex everyone wanted to live here, so the manager has a waiting list of people who want to move in here, and she keeps it nice by kicking out bad people instantly and she has her list of good people who want to move in. And the manager wants the complex to be safe for children, and for young families.
Also, now that it is nice we can have parties here in the courtyard with live bands and stuff, such as the one that you and Jon and Justin played at here. We had a party with free mahi mahi tacos for everyone, the owner of the compex bought pizzas, we had NASTY HABITS playing, it was awesome.
There have been a couple of murders here in the neighborhood in the last couple of years, it is still a gang neighborhood, but the complex is nice and it is a safe place for children to live, and we can have parties in the courtyard, and everything. It is cool here. It is a lot better here now than it was eight years ago when I moved in.
If you ever want to talk with the manager here, to get some ideas from her, or whatever, let me know and I will give you her telephone number. She knows how to clean up a bad complex and she knows how to make it nice for the children.
Good luck in the neighborhoods that you are working on to make better, I wish you much success.
Here is a video of you guys, NASTY HABITS, in the courtyard here...
Oh, and also Dude, I have went into bad neighborhoods with Kiwanis International to help clean up the bad neighborhoods, and we were quite successful, you can always invite Kiwanis to help you to clean up a neighborhood. Kiwanis is great.
Also, here is a video of some children here at my apartment complex singing, it is a cool video...
