U.S. Army: Morale Down in Afghanistan

Morale has fallen among soldiers in Afghanistan, where U.S. troops are seeing record violence in the 8-year-old war, while those in Iraq show much improved mental health amid much lower violence, the Army said Friday.

Anything short of General McChrystal's request for 40,000 additional troops shows a commitment by America to fail in Afghanistan. It certainly doesn't show a commitment to the Afghan people or our military, and will result in many unnecessary casualties to the innocent Afghan people and American soldiers. Worst of all, this half-baked strategy will keep America involved in Afghanistan longer than is absolutely necessary to finish the job of stabilizing the country.

This is President Obama's worst decision yet, and that is saying a lot. You cannot cost-cut a war and expect to win. You cannot put a price tag on human life and expect to win.

Afghanistan will be Obama's Vietnam, if he continues to ignore the general he appointed. Americans should be outraged. Afghanistan will become a haven again for terrorists, and another 9/11 will occur, just as Condoleeza Rice warned.

But I'm sure Obama will just blame Bush and all will be forgiven by the left...

Why doesn't he just pull everyone out of Iraq like he promised and send them to Afghanistan? Because it was all just campaign bull**** and most of America bought it. Morale has fallen among soldiers in Afghanistan when Obama said that he does not want to harm the ‘good’ Taliban Islamic terrorists and he does not want US victory over the Islamic terrorists that kept killing our US troops when our US troops were not allowed to fight them back.
Morale has fallen among soldiers in Afghanistan when Obama told them to win the hearts and mind of the civilian Muslim tribal Afghans while allowing the Taliban Islamic terrorists taking control of most of Afghanistan and its roads where check posts were put by the Islamic terrorists aiming at isolating our US troops from their supply lines.
It is not the “increase in violence of the Taliban Islamic terrorists” that were emboldened by the Islamic messiah Obama after releasing many of them from prisons in Afghanistan that cause morale to fall but it is the fake Muslim rooted loser in chief Barack Hussein Obama who seek the defeat of US troops with lies and deceit.
What kind of country is US where radical liberal politicians and their corrupt Anti-American liberal media choose a commander in chief that loves the Islamic terrorist enemy and hates our US troops while seeking their demise in Afghanistan like never before in US history?

The truth is probably something VERY different. For example:
'Two US privates John Smith and John Henry had been seeing a military psychiatrist major Hasan at Fort hood for a few weeks. Both privates said they were completely against the war in the Middle East and would refuse to report for active duty if ordered to do so.

Both privates warned they would not go and they would defend themselves with force if the army tried to force them to fight in a war they believed was morally wrong.

During the melee their psychiatrist major Hasan, tried to talk the two privates into surrendering but he was shot twice. Finally both privates were overcome and killed. Their psychiatrist major Hasan is in hospital recovering.'
Officials of the military have spun the story to make it seem the privates' doctor (who has a Muslim sounding name) was the perpetrator so that thee public does not understand just how much resistance there is to the Middle East war in the military rank and file.
The whole official Fort Hood cover story is 98% a lie. Do you trust the main stream media for the truth in a story like this? Heck, for any story?

There is something more to this than just him being of a different religion or his background alone.

"Before Oct. 16, 1991, the Central Texas town of Killeen was perhaps best known for its proximity to the Army base at Fort Hood, and Luby's was known only regionally as a popular cafeteria chain.

But on that day, both came to be linked to what was then the worst mass murder in U.S. history.

At 12:45 p.m., 35-year-old George Hennard of nearby Belton drove his pickup truck through a window at the Killeen Luby's and killed 24 people."

24 people dies, he was a former soldier and was upset about Clarence Thomas hearings, didn't like women and various other things said after he committed that act.

Plus 76 suicides at that base since 2003.

There has been more than one murder/suicide.

"KILLEEN, Texas — The dispute that led a Fort Hood soldier to kill his lieutenant and then himself may have been sparked by missing military equipment.

Killeen police said Tuesday that 24-year-old Lt. Robert Bartlett Fletcher of Jensen Beach, Fla., had gone with a staff sergeant to talk to a 22-year-old specialist under their command.

The specialist was set to be discharged soon, and some equipment was missing.

Police called to the scene on Monday saw the specialist shoot Fletcher to death before killing himself. The staff sergeant was not injured."

And domestic violence cases that also ended in murder/suicide.

The answer that this one person had different religious beliefs or cultural attitudes is overly simple, it is an easy popular answer but it overlooks a lot. There is something much more serious going on here.
