People believe in God for the same reason they believe in a specific religion: They've been instructed to believe in a certain way from the time they started walking --- just like believing in Santa and Easter bunny. They grow up and although feeling a bit deceived, the truth is known. Thor, Aman Ra, and Aphrodite fall into the same belief as Santa ---- only one more God left to bite the dust.

I'm glad you made that statement and me myself being a Christian agree....but, we are not all that way. Christian means "Christ like", so if those who claim the "title" Christian and don't act "Christ like" then they are what the bible calls false witnesses. And they will be judged for their actions. But don't be quick to call all Christians unloving. I for one love everybody equally, enemy or friend. God is dealing with those "Christian" churches right now. He's exposing all those who claim Christ's name but not living by His commands. If we have to go around telling people we're Christians then we're not doing something right in our lives, people should see God's love and light coming right out from us. So again, I thank you for exposing those false witnesses who carry the name "Christian" when they don't live the lifestyle. God Bless You, and I tell you the truth, CHRISTIANDOM IS OVER! Notice the -dom part, my way of speaking to certain Christians as a religion, because it's not it's a personal relationship with God.

Not very often. It's such a long distance to travel, and there are nice places to go here -- France, Italy -- that are only minutes away, that I don't work up the enthusiasm to go home much any longer.
