Paul Craig Roberts
[Assistant Secretary of the Treasury under Ronald Reagan (Left because US Corruption) and former editor of the Wall Street Journal]

The real issues are suffocated by the media. The American middle class is being destroyed by jobs offshoring and work visas for foreigners, while the incomes of the super rich are soaring. The US dollar's reserve currency status is eroded. The US is massively in debt at home and abroad. Health insurance is unaffordable for the vast majority of the population. Injured veterans are being nickeled and dimed, while Halliburton's profits escalate. Americans are losing their homes, while the US government bails out banks. Wars with Iran, Russia, and China are being planned in order to secure US hegemony.

In such a war East and south will lose, as the adage goes if one owes 10 'bucks' to a bank and cant repay then that person has a problem, but if one owes 1 trillion bucks to a bank and cant repay the bank has a problem, so with china and others who are sitting on us t-bills and debt/USD. simplistic but may turn into an issue, on the converse if such bank can keep printing and the buyer keeps buying the problem in longrun will have a reversal problem, will hurt all.
this given the fact that USD is also a reserve currency

why do i get a feeling that this dollar run is like the gold run, it has to fall/ with such a run its structured to fall. ths value does not look structural.
should it worry to alevel it would not save the fact that reserve currency ought not to be so volatile

let me see from the rethoric in India and the hard facts.
CAD rise steady, one facet contained -gold, now crude, infrastructure in India is pathetic yet comforting to become a car hub has resulted in public transport remaining pathetic, one needs singapore style rationing coupled with investment in public transport network, whose long term benefits are known, but one needs to deal with siam.
can a repeat of 1997 happen may, that may not be a large issue can a soros against pound happen against certain currency, that can telling and with ruptures if happens, does a fundamental argument exists strongly yes, the currency USD

watching TV - al jazeera and bbc -egypt
thought democracy was to be devoid of religion, caste, colour, creed.
how wrong we are
how influencial are people against their 'type' of democracy.
hope a democratic government as elected by the people is reinstated and vested interest controlling the economic assets - military is contained. How contrived the raid looks.
hope this is not replicated in the financial world. the world has paid a price and to pay a lot more, need to see the contours when the dust settles.

Indian index down over 2%, indonesia around 5% today, and this is not the first day of fall, this is an harbinger of things to come the good, bad or the ugly time will tell, only thing thats assured is that its intermediary created -FI.
what has been mapped into this and where does the 'real economy' look to- battered US with its FED holding MBS!!!, last occasion it was the FI.
Now thye countries in play thats would be interesting ABEnomics good for its structured higher echelon of finance and industry, but may leave others in the lurch, here QE seems to be of infinite version without a rap, emulating it across would be disastrous, thus narrow confines of CAD needs a relook as with QE it would be skewed (not applicable to Japan yet).
too many moving parts need a serious mapping

QE and currency strength
the known countries/unioun which has run QE are UK, USA Euro post 2008 finacial collapse initiated by intermediation failures are surprisingly having strength of their currencies. the other being the historical experimental lab Japan and Abenomics are raved,
can then the hypothesis then survive that QE corelates to strength. or is a strength only a demand supply /market factor, thus is market efficency theory validated or is the present sceanario an aberration.

thus what are the ramification or is it that markets necessariy always overshoots thus then it leads to the efficacy of market efficency theory.
Or.....

am watching NDTV on a programme captioned state of economy on falling of rupee due to dollar outflow.
agreed financing consumption by FII was bad, raising accolades and its pursuit was bad enough.
BUT stating that things need to be done to maintain our state of economy- an internal driven economy, is absurd but wolves looking for flesh.
one way to meet the state is purge the bad blood and pursue growth, SLASH INTEREST RATE across third world, the intermediateries can take the money and park in US treasuries if they so wish.
are we bordering on absurdities only on CAD, things are not in sync, theoriesmay be fallacious.

Merkel Says G20 Needs to Push Harder to Control Hedge Fund Risks
wonder if this ought to be a concern for "g7" present silos are being fired at the developing countries, a lot if returns are being generated somewhere. All that g7 needs to worry is that it does not rebound at them like 1997 (pls do revisit the timeline of 1997-1998).

Developing countries will take care of themselves singularily or collectively. the issue which is the root cause is the reserve currency and the powers that it carry, this issue needs a resolve, need a developing countries/competition to BIS

Currency Spikes at 4 P.M. in London Provide Rigging Clues
Recurring price spikes, particularly during busy times such as the end of the month, can indicate market manipulation and possibly collusion, according to Abrantes-Metz.
.....
thus the market is gamed so be it, but developing world need to meet their interests wonder if they have a intel on this.
dont expect from the 4 currency areas they need to protect their currency.
or was this the effect of pseudo competitive devaluation.
parts of the world will not rally against their larger interests and all local branches of banks ought to be made to pay for this, or are they clients positions then need to check on miselling. hope the free lunch on forex hedging has realised that there is no hedging

are we entering 1997 sceanario.
yes we have entered the pheriphery, vortex is at a distance, though not visible from the pheriphery, but all depends on the diffence of pressure, the only issue is where will Mahathir Md come from, Malayasia, Vietnam, Brazil, South Africa,(not India no gumption) or TURKEY.
the only matter is the timing will it be now or later when vortex is immediately above, days for preemptive is gone.
the positive being that media has a new headline or is it feeding into.
this again will not solve the boom burst cycle, unless out of the box thoughts are evovled.

Brazil Raises Rate to 9% as Real Undercuts Inflation Fight:
as stated earlier it is a short term fix to deal with developing world currency valatulity and devaluation by rate hike.
cetris paribus if the currency pan geographically is due to carry trade and speculation, it would be preferred to concentrate on growth. as after lehman the co-ordinated rate decrease to effectuate growth. this cannot but ofcourse be supported by economies runnng near zero interest regime and in liquidity trap.
the least monetary policy could have done is to reduce rate NOT increase.
Capital Control as rationing ought to be by the worst effected, or fundamentally ought not to affected by this currency crises.
now that "competitive devaluation has statarted to hurt, trade sought to be made to increase manifold in affected geographies, expensive imports ought to be substituted.
Thus where will the next samsung and products like microsoft office come from?
