This doesn't seem to be thought out very well. Fewer pictures to accompany news articles and volunteer editors, suffering a budget crunch are we? At least keep what worked in the past!

I absolutely HATE this new format that topix decided to whip up!! They don't have very knowledgeable marketers lol. They should all be fired at topix headquarters, so some new and HIP ones can take over.

I'm not sure. I've been a member for about two months and has some pluses and minuses. The only minus I can see so far, is that when the initial screen comes up, it has my location as Farmers Brach, TX.

Where in the world is Farmers Branch, TX?

You are able to change your location. You should be able to type in your Hartford-Courant address at the top and change your "home page" to that. I had clicked on some Iran threads and it changed my Evansville, Indiana (ISP location) page to an Iran page for a while, until I typed Evansville back in.
The main problem I have is the slowness of the postings.

Agreed. The postings are at a snail's pace.

Anything new takes time to work the bugs out. I just hope it don't take long. On average posts are taking about 30-40 minutes to go up.
