This is an outright lie. What about Justice Benjamin Cardozo, who served on the Supreme Court from 1932 - 1938??

More propaganda to make people think that history is being made. Just like we elected our first BLACK president. Wrong. He's mixed, half black, half white.

Do you half claim all the mixed criminals in the system that are classified as black?

Nope. If someone is mixed race, then they're mixed. Period. We used to have terms for mixed races - Mulatos, Creoles, etc.

Yes, there are also any number of deragatory terms referring to mixed races, however, I'm not going to post that, because it has no bearing, and would be counterproductive to the discussion.

The point of this article is a continuation of the Obama propaganda machine. He got elected using his African heritage over his Anglo heritage, despite being raised from a teenager by his affluent Anglo family, attending the best schools money could buy.

The same thing is being done here. Obama's administration is trying to rewrite history, knowing that Americans, as a whole, are ignorant, and especially ignorant of history. "Support Sotomayor! She'll be the first hispanic Supreme Court Justice!" This is an outright lie. Cardozo was the first hispanic Supreme Court Justice, back in 1932. It's the "Vote for the first black president!" line all over again.

How has it been proven she's racist? Because she endorsed a ruling made by two other white judges against 14 white firefighters? If she's racist, what does that make them? They made the ruling, she endorsed it based on the Circuit 2 Law. None of them did anything wrong, the decision was within the guidelines of the law.

HE is the first president of color, whether you consider him black or mixed. Which is still a big step fot this country. He was elected becasue he was the best choice. I as a black man certainly was not going to vote for a republican regardless of who was running.

That is certainly your right, as a citizen and as a voter. However, by excluding any other party, you limit yourself. Both major parties are corrupt and self serving. And in this past election I felt that neither major party fielded a worthwhile, viable candidate. I would never consider voting straight party any party, because there are bad apples that should never hold office in both parties, and I, as a critical, thinking, responsible voter; reserve my vote to go against those who simply are not fit for the job.

Sotomayor, were we to be able to vote for our Supreme Court Justices, would not get my vote. I think that she judges from emotion rather than by rule of law, and that, while not overtly racist or prejudice, has made questionable judgements and statements that lead one to believe that Law and Constitutionality are among the last things on her mind when she makes judgements.

I was watching CNN (hardly a right-wing station) and was watching Bill Clinton as he was looking for an office in Harlem after he left office, when a group of black city politicians called him "The First Black President" and all the rest applauded and agreed.
On another note, wow that sotomeyer is butt ugly. She looks like one of the drunks that hang out under the bridge! Couldn't the Dems come up with someone a little more pleasant to look at. I mean even Rosie O'Donnell would be easier on the eyes!

YOu are completely right in your post and I have no rebutle, not that that is what i am trying to do, rebut everything you write. I try to listen as closely sa I can during an election year and through out. Based on my general views, socially, I do not agree with alot of conservative views. Iwould consiser myself a moderate liberal.
AS far as Sotomayor I have not reviewed her rulings, but I do thing anytime anyone makes judgments based on emotion it is a bad thing. I think what I have heard about her rulings are questionable, but within the letter of the law and the one that has been most talked about I believe, I am not sure but I think she upheld a lower courts ruling. Like I said I am not sure. But whether it is history or not, the choice raises concerns, and I don't think she is racist, but her speech four years ago raised eyebrows and becaue of that, just like any person, white or black she is now under question. I think what she meant to say and said are two different things, or even what she said and how it was percieved are two different things. But that is how the cookie crumbles and she has to wathc what she says just like everyone else.
I like sane people on these threads and you are one of them, thank you for your honestly and level headedness.

Daily Horoscope for November 14

Virgo

As much as you would like to tell a certain someone off today, it's wiser to bite your tongue. E-mail can come back to haunt you; we all know stories of someone who accidentally sent the wrong memo out to the entire office. If you really must vent, wait until you get home and then tell your partner your woes. Go for a long walk first to get the edge off.
