To answer, I am completely opposed to the Iraq war, although of course I wholeheartedly support our troops. It certainly isn't THEIR fault that our President is a total idiot, who LIED to get our country into this ugly, foul mess.

Ever see the movie SHREK? It's one of my son's favorites. There's a line in it from a character called "Lord Farquad," who says at one point, "some of you may die, but it's a sacrifice I'm willing to make." Now THERE's a classic Bush line if I ever heard one! I'm sure the writer was zinging Bush when he/she wrote that line, I know I would have.

Fundiesmacker directed me over to the "Bush is a hero" thread, where I posted a couple of times, but will have do more reading and slamming over the weekend. Good grief; the "homework" does tend to pile up. lol

I know the Shrek movies practically verbatim because of my niece and nephews! The animation is phenomenal and the writing brilliant. I love the Shrek films! I remember the line you cited very well but never equated it with Bush. Great connection you made there!

Actually, the bible is quite silent about masturbation.

It literally is not in there even once.

There is a verse in the Hebrew scriptures that is often twisted around to mean "masturbation" but that is not what the WHOLE story says.

But, to a fundie, if something is not strictly prohibited, it's strictly mandatory.
