Hello my friends, I took a fun break and started "Greatest Driving Songs" thread on Top Stories. Just asking for one post from ya to help get it going. I'm putting another music-related thread up later.

When we argue with fundies on other threads and can't extract a logical answer, we might say "File this under jitterbug" or "I call circle dance on this fundie." We're not denigrating them personally, just bringing forth a little levity! lol I'm way behind; I haven't called "Fundie Jitterbug" or "Fundie Charleston" for the last couple of days. Gotta get back into the "saddle" again.:-)

Writing in Paradise wrote: <quoted text> How would corruption in me translate to corruption in my religion? That's not logical. That's like saying that because my blood is red, my car must be red too. I suppose the point I was trying to make, is that all people have less-than-perfect existences. From the deepest recesses of their DNA to the highest behaviour they are able to muster, there is imperfection. As such-- any activity they partake of, or have allegiance to, becomes imperfect as well-- by association if nothing else. So, therefore, all religions are corrupt-- because all religions require human beings to exist, to be spread from one person to another. That is all I was saying-- all religion is human activity, human based.

Ken wrote: <quoted text> I agree about being civil, I was trying to convey that. What I have always found interesting is how two different people can see the same exact thing and come up with two different opinions. Example: I have made a general statement on one forum and the same general statement on another; never really stating whether I believe or not believe in God. On one I'm called a 'dimwit' christian on the other a 'dimwit' atheist, the same thing happens on political forums. I guess the 'dimwit' part is easy for some, it's the other part that seems difficult; I'm positive you understand because of what you explain. LOL P.S.-I like your profile, Daffy has always been a favorite of mine. Just sharing (website), I believe this has had a big effect on a lot of different people (hidden tattoos). I knew someone that allowed her past life to effect her so much, she judged herself through others and kept victimizing herself and others; the doc's called it mentally dysfunctional....very sad. http://www.drdrew.com/Topics/article.asp... Obviously, "dimwit" loosely translates to "you don't believe as I do" LOL!

If it was NOT written in giant blazing letters 50 feet high, that automatically translate into MY language-- it is not GOD that was talking, but MAN. So. YOU happen to be the MAN who claims to speak FOR GOD. I'm taking it up with YOU. If GOD has a problem with THAT, god can talk to me DIRECTLY. And not through some self-proclaimed flunky....

But I am not sure if I did actually say you were a wolf.. Did I say that? I would rather be a wolf.

Fish back then that was the way of law and order. They did not have police and a "humane" death penalty system. But they had something to punish criminals and that was it. You think criminals that murder should not be punished with death? If so you are contributing to the murder of innocents in your heart. The way of God is you kill you die that is real justice. Everyone who murders is somebodies child is sentimentality supposed to stop justice? Then how will justice take place? Fish wrote: <quoted text> Would you stone your child to death? If you believe the word of your bible, it necessarily follows that you believe it's acceptable to stone your child to death for eating too much and drinking. I know the concept of glaring contradiction never takes with you fundies.

Are you sure this is the source you wish to base your beliefs and "morality" on?

Let me repeat my question and perhaps you'll answer it this time. Would you stone your children to death for gluttony? Would you present them to the town elders for a public stoning?
