Low Pay Is Not Ok!!!

Fast food and other low wage workers across the country are going on strike on August 29. We’ve had enough of struggling to get by on minimum wage or barely more, so we’re walking off our jobs to demand $15 an hour and the right to form a union without retaliation.

Join the fight by sharing this video right now. And if you work in fast food, bring the strike to your city.

You're going to strike in a hirer's market? There are legions willing to take your place. You'll be on the outside looking in and won't even be remembered.

I guess that is what women in the 1800s said, or Blacks in 1900s said, and labor leaders who fought for unions....

"History is a great teacher. Now everyone knows that the labor movement did not diminish the strength of the nation but enlarged it. By raising the living standards of millions, labor miraculously created a market for industry and lifted the whole nation to undreamed of levels of production. Those who attack labor forget these simple truths, but history remembers them."

Fast food has never paid well. It's an entry level job.

If you want better pay, get a better job.
Can't find a better job?
Blame Obama for destroying the economy.

But Seriously, Nobody makes a career of of a fast food job, nobody in their right mind anyway.

Those people in the strike Aug.29 was a rent-a-mob of SEIU and AFL-CIO recruits.
Loud mouth trouble makers from the Obama Democrat plantation.

Yes blame Obama because republitards cared so much about entry level jobs before he was in office and everything was just peachy during the bush years...right?

FACT - bush = recession. Obama = recession ended
FACT - bush =djia losing over 30% of its value Obama = djia doubling in value
FACT - bush = corporations losing money Obama = corporations seeing record profits each quarter
FACT - bush = detroit auto industry near collapse Obama = auto industry rebound and record sales and profits.

FACTS - confounding republicans since 1973

Those "burger joint jobs" were never intended for someone to actually live on wages! Those are for summer employment of kids in high school, or a '1st job' after graduation before they go on to some other school, or out into the workforce to get a real job. They want $15 an hour? LMAO! Dream on, unless the customers are willing to pay $12.95 for a happy meal. Go get a real career! I bet this makes them wish they'd stayed awake in high school.

Where did you get your figures? Raising the wages to $15/hour would only increase the price of food?

...Saltsman points to a 2006 study that found that each 10% increase in the minimum wage boosted quick-service menu prices by 1.6% and could reduce industry employment by as much as 2.5%.

Based on those figures, a $15 minimum wage would cause as much as a 17% surge in fast-food prices and a nearly 27% slide in employment, Saltsman estimated.
