Some idiot animal rights activist burnt down a school with a book of matches and you have to have matches to light candles.

Animal rights activist have proven they cannot be trusted with matches. Matches are used for candles. I really thought you would see it as logical given your argument for banning hunting.

So, was it your original argument for banning hunting that was disingenuous or your new one?

I have the right to procure my food in the fashion that suits my individual needs and preferences.

As to the "what gives humans the right". For most of us it's the development of a superior brain that makes us an apex predator.

Are you here to promote factory farming?

Without hunting, you would have an overpopulation of the animal, causing problems such as diseases and a lack of food sources for the animal.
This is part of the reason why hunting animals is legal.

Hunting animals is nothing other than a horrible form of cruelty and animal torture. It is a rotten, heartless form of "entertainment" indulged in by egotistical self important people on this planet. None of your arguements have merit. If it was controlling the population of animals, surely one single bullet to the head is the way to go, rather than chasing, hounding these poor innocent creatures witless, and then watching them suffer horrible deaths. And enjoying it all! What is wrong with you??
One day, I hope the animals regain control of the world and hunt the likes of you, nasty, heartless inhabitants of this planet.

Yes i think hunting for sport should be banned. For sport as opposed to a gamekeeper regulating the wildlife by culling. With "scent trail" hunting (where tracks are laid out by marking scents for dogs to follow, or signs purposely made for humans to follow) available there is no need for the game/sport to stop. There is a counter-argument that the dogs expect a kill at the end but this is only because that is how they have been trained, they could just as easily be trained with another reward-incentive. With this bringing of the "sport" into the modern-era it would not be necessary to reduce numbers of dogs or horses either. i would have to ask if, this method of gaming is not acceptable, whether it is actually the kill rather than the chase that the hunters want. i find individual hunting (not sport) more acceptable if it's for food ,such as bird-game or fishing. If it's not for food then it's just cruelty for the fun of the hunters.

Not all of us worship gods,or feel the inclination to slaughter animals just because they are there. Our scientific community community should be working on inexpensive synthetic foods so no one has the excuse that they have to hunt for food. Give the hillbillies cheap or free food if need be even if it raises taxes a few cents. All hunting guns should be banned and the so called sport hunters should be jailed a year for every animal they kill. So called sport hunting is insane. As is wale and dolphin and seal slaughter. The japanese and Norweigins have to realize that the civilized world is not going to put up with the killing of wales much longer like it or not.

Hunting just for the fun of it, for sport, is disgusting. I think people should only hunt to cull unhealthy herds/packs or if they truly need the meat to survive; like if they lost their job, have no money and they're hungry.

If a person enjoys the taste of wild game I don't have a problem with hunting as long as they don't abuse that right. But here's something to think about, by the time you buy the proper weapon to hunt with, buy the permit to hunt, have a vehicle to transport your kill, have it butchered, etc, you could buy the finest cut of sirloin at the market.

And here's something else to think about. The Fish and Wildlife dept issues hunting permits based on the population of any particular animal in any particular location. So tell me, would you rather have a delicious venison steak on your plate, or have the deer die of starvation in the wild?
