A2)Where would you like me to begin? I am a Christian.
Have to disagree with your 'secondly'.
I believe in God as do most non-Christians.
I also believe in Jesus and am not a Christian.
I don't live a Christian life but instead try to live the by the principles set down by Jesus. The two IMHO are opposites.

Eh. Not really 'back', just visiting. I pop by to read a few times a year but topix has really lost its appeal for me. Good to see you again though.

I was abysmal at Latin.
I dropped it when I got to 2nd year.
Hope all is well with you and yours.

The Bible clearly says we will be judged by our works.
Not that I believe all that nonsense but you need to get it right.
YOU (unbelievers) will be judged by your works! I (believers) will be rewarded for my faithfulness!

this thing is almost too good to be true (for believers, that is!)

btw - i don't get my Bible doctrine from gaytheists anymore than gaytheists get their sexual advice from the amish;-)

You are a friend, as I said I believe that everyone in my life is in it for a reason. I have never been disrespectful or rude to you. When it comes to respect, that is different. I am hesitant to show you any kind of affection because you intentionally blur line's imo.
thanks! hyper calvanistic, yes, but i know your heart is in the right place:-)

Hi Khatru - you also side with many of those who have had NDEs.

Many say - there is no judgment, just a question that is something like this paraphrased one:

"How do you think your life was?"

Clearly this shows that we will judge ourselves for our own actions ("reap what you sow" / "judge by works").

If one were to utilize this saying by Jesus - it is also very clear that what we sow can depend upon how we are in the next life - if that so happens.

"To know yourself is to know the kingdom of God."
http://www.gnosis.org/naghamm/gth_pat_rob.htm

So again, we reap what we sow, is very similar in many ways and characteristics to "to know yourself".

In other words - if we can know what we will do - we will also know what we reap.

FYI - many so-called "Christians" refuse to acknowledge that this teachings is valid, but if one were to really look at its simplicity of the meaning - it is very much a valid statement and very useful for anyone when trying to achieve a peaceful, loving and caring lifestyle.

Those who refute it, probably have some remorse and indifference towards being a peaceful and loving person, so they reject it along with its possibility to help them.

Cheers!

A2)Where would you like me to begin? I am a Christian.
1) it's not anymore appropriate for a non-christian to be obnoxious and disrespectful to Christians about God than it is for ANYONE TO BE DISRESPECTFUL TO ANYONE ELSE ABOUT ANYTHING ELSE!
in fact, IMO it's because of doormat-minded and ill-advised 'christians' that antichrists get away with what they do!!!

2) i never accused you of not being a Christian and saved by God's grace. i am, however, challenging you with the notion that not all Christians are disciples; aka not all are doing the ministry that Christ and His disciples did. not all believers were His disciples then, why would they all be now?

we're not supposed to attempt to judge each others motives!:-)

sister, if only you realized that the hard sayings of Christ (beginning with "if you will be My disciple...") only apply to those who wish to follow in His same steps as ministers of the Gospel, but not to every believer, i believe that it would be a truth that would set you free to flourish as a woman in your gifts and calling:-)

the amount of disciples recorded in the New Testament cannot be quantified and the New Covenant dispensation is still in effect to this day:-)

have you sold all that you have, given the money to the poor and become a homeless preacher like Christ was? that is the principle that Christ set down for you who thinks you're righteous through your works

Dispensation ?

Your religion was invented less than 100 years ago by John Nelson Darby.

You are still a clueless moron.

I'm fine, hope you are as well. Just moved to a different city. Made me realize I'm not young anymore - I'm still sore a week later.

Speaking of the Campers, are those lying charlatans Dave and Gary still spreading their nonsense here? They were immensely enjoyable chew toys back in the day.

I was wondering why the god of the Bible gets so murderous when people choose not to use the gift the way he wants them to?

Hi Mac

Not bad, thanks.

Decided to retire at the end of next year.

Plan is to move back up north. Most likely to Oban.
