Oh, the names differ.

But many of the shrines, fanes, springs and sacred sites now associated with Bríd were originally Síle's.

There were a few right near where I grew up.

There was one, I recall vividly. It was a spring of cold water, and it had an old, old, dome, stone, built over it. One had to enter on hands and knees.

The dome was basically a mound - it might have been pre-Christian.
And it was way back in the woods, so nobody knew about it except for a few local kids, and some old folk who remembered it.

Only to lying, hateful buybullbots like you. You people have used 2000 years' worth of propaganda and hate to smear Paganism. You stole our gods, and turned them into your devil; we Pagans aren't taking it anymore. We resist and *fight back* against you, and *you* cry foul and play victim.
Christianity has more blood on its hands than all the Pagan religions combined.

You are the blasphemer; you are a hypocrite. You refuse to follow what you claim you believe in, while demanding that others do.

We know *you* by your words.
Jesus never said anything; he's a myth. You know, a myth.

Minor point, some of our Gods were later worshiped as saints...
"Saint" Bridget of Ireland, for example. They even kept most of the same stories about her, AND they kept the vestal virgins, er - nuns, burning an eternal flame in Her honor until Henry VIII decided that he wanted all of the money tied up in the monasteries.
Agreed.

But look what they did to Pan.

They stole Poseidon's Trident, and gave it to their satan.

Nymphs aren't goddesses, unless you want to admit that Christianity is chock full of Gods and Goddesses.
