So you are paddling your own boat, and you are not bringing anyone else down to hellfire with you.
I'm not paddling anywhere.

Why do you make up things about other people?

Does it bring you comfort to insult and degrade others?

It's got NOTHING to do with being a good neighbour or a good parent.
Squirm all you want - societal morals do not depend on a deity.
there is no such thing as 'GOOD' without GOD.
therefore, YOUR idea of 'good' might just be touching your very young neighbor in inappropriate places.

So you say.

What's your source?

Start with the imaginary deity against whom one can offend.

huh? what's YOUR source for goodness? ask 6 billion people and you could get 6 billion different definitions. joseph mengele thought he was a wonderful cutting-edge doctor and for all we know a sinless person such as yourself may think touching youngins is perfectly 'good'.

Why don't you?
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes”(Rom. 1:16).

If you reject what Paul wrote then you are ashamed of the gospel that Jesus Christ the Messiah gave.

I believe the gospel of Jesus Christ just as Paul did...

Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.(Romans 3:19-20)

The Law of God absolutely silences every single man and woman on earth from justifying themselves before a holy and righteous God. If you want to look for an ”axis of evil” you need not look any further than your own heart.

The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?(Jeremiah 17:9)

<quoted text>Your point, Dusty, was that she should be repentant for some sin(s).
Since they don't exist, you're working yourself into a froth over nothing.
No reason for her, or me, or anyone else to do likewise.
I apologize for not being clear. I am not speaking of the individual and particular sins which beset each person.
I was speaking of the fact that each person is a sinner. That is our nature.

My other point was that when a person reaches a certain delicate age in which they are taking arthritis pills, they should recognize their own mortality and make prudent preparations. What is more prudent than repenting and believing in the master who quiets the wind and the waves?

One does not have to be an atheist or an agnostic to be a humanist but one does need to believe in God to understand what good actually is.

What is this "goodness" of which you speak?

We were discussing "sin".

Which is imaginary.
