are you insinuating that the 3rd reich WASN'T socialist?! that's not very hard to prove!
It was fascist, just like you and your religion. No wonder so many Nazis were christian.

Why should you care in the slightest about my religious views?
I cannot possibly imagine.
Several people on topix, though, in the wake of various postings I’ve made on religious subjects, have asked me for an explanation of just how I arrived at my present agnosticism, or atheism, or whatever it is. So rather than answering these various people individually I’ve elected to start this forum and direct the interested parties here.
What follows is nothing more or less than a summary of my personal experiences as a Christian, related about as honestly as I know how to do it. I’m not hoping for contributions, followers, or enlightenment, and I don’t claim it to be momentous or universal or significant to anyone but me. But it is genuine.

Why would anyone care about your religious beliefs?

If people are really concerned about your religious beliefs, they have too much time on their hands.

Where is water_nymph? I've been researching common side effects of heart, arthritis, and whatever the fcuk the other drug was and it seems they share a few.
Irritability, nervousness, depression, and something else that seems to explain a lot of where this unbridled anger comes from.
Just say no.
Drugs aren't the answer, kids.

"good christians" is like saying "good nazis."
Godwin's law (also known as Godwin's Rule of Nazi Analogies or Godwin's Law of Nazi Analogies) is an assertion made by Mike Godwin in 1990 that has become an Internet adage. It states: "As an online discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Hitler approaches 1." In other words, Godwin said that, given enough time, in any online discussion—regardless of topic or scope—someone inevitably makes a comparison to Hitler or the Nazis.

I never said I didn't have any faults; I said I don't have any *sins.* Everyone has faults, some of us more than others. I have more than, say, the Dalai Lama, for example; and I have far, far fewer than *you.* At least I don't steal from my boss and cheat on my partner, I don't lie, and I'm not a hypocrite--like you are.
<quoted text>
Well, of course, dummazz! What, you think I'm supposed to let someone else decide *for* me??
Oh, and my stregheria beliefs have no influence on who I do and do not respect. Take you, for example. You do not deserve my respect, because you not only fail to earn it, you *refuse* to earn it.
<quoted text>
What's *that* got to do with anything?
okay hon here's the deal & i'm gonna give it to you straight cuz i believe that YOU are worth it!:

under your system, you choose who's good and who's evil based on your snap judgements of words or behaviors that are offensive to YOU/your beliefs and values. IMO - this is the very definition of eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

under Christ, we're to view ourselves as equally offensive and be forgiving to one and other since we're all born with an offensive/selfish nature. however, Christ died for this very reason and to restore us to the place we had with God and with each other before eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. IMO - embracing this ideology is the definition of eating again from the Tree of Life, which is Jesus The Christ.

"love the Lord God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength and love others as yourself. this fulfills all the law and prophets" Jesus
