I think that is important to include the previous verses with this thought. Paul is creating the dichotomy of who is in (above) and who is out (see below). He is not talking about non-believers, he is talking about those claiming to be part of the group. The second group is represented by most of the Christians who visit here. The evidence is in their own words. Interestingly enough, it also included Paul, himself, although he would disagree.<quoted text>
