What a wonderful world!
Said some atheist on some other thread earlier, may not be exact quote, I just sorta scrolled and got the gist of his expression.

Didn't Mickey Mouse sing something like that? Was Walt Disney a Freemason???Anyone know where the word gist originated from? So many questions, so little time...

Nothing was overlooked, not by me and SL is busy and can't be here all the time. Is this post written in hope of a respectful and open discussion? I'm very sorry that my short, affirmative posts bore you into joining Annie in passive aggressive mockery. I don't always have the time to sit here typing for hours so I quickly acknowledge some and go. I was going to respond to your excellent post to me privately and a bit later. I really admire that you take responsibility for your words and assumptions, most people don't. When I want to verbally retaliate, I don't usually follow with a cover especially after rebuking equal behaviour, this particular tactic is very unexpected coming from you NS but each to their own I suppose, no one is perfect, not one. It's very easy to lose perspective here and fall in with joking, mocking, futile debates, mimicking troll tactics etc...You are right.
<3
Oh crap JL...learn to read. In my post to NS I said "those that yell the loudest". Are you one of "those that yell the loudest" about homosexuals???

If you are not...then the post did not refer to you. Do you think everything that I post is about you?

Geeesh...get over yourself. This is an opinion/discussion thread about why we left the faith of Christianity. Did you expect to come here and find us singing hymns and praising Jesus?

You made the choice to be here...surely you realized that we would not agree with at least part of what you post.

I personally have never asked you to prove anything...never said that you were delusional because of what you believe.

Did you get a chance to read Revelation of the Magi, if so did you notice the references to hallucinogens?
I bought it but haven't had a chance to read it yet.

It stills on the shelf, patiently waiting for spring.

A friend of mine was a member of the Native American Church, or whatever it's called; they actually have an exemption from the DEA that allows them to use peyote as a sacrament. Anyway, my friend knew I was Strega, and had invited me to take part in this ceremony. We were sort of exploring each other's paths and comparing notes.
Once was enough for me.
;)
Cool. I never had the priviledge, you must have been well respected to be invited. Cudos!

Tell me *that* doesn't smack of jewish supremacy! Whatever happened to "We are *all* god's children?"
Originally it didn't carry such weight. Everyone had their own "tribal deity". In many cultures the local deity becomes a universal one.

As I say, the stories grow with the telling.

Sorry, I really have to be more specific. At that time, God had not yet chosen His people but after long suffering as slaves, the Israelites/Hebrews, still loved God so He got them out, then was going to end it until Moses intervened on our behalf. God chose them in Deuteronomy. Until Jesus, now, we are once again *all* God's children.
Before Deuteronomy, all were God's children. Many couldn't care less.
Never read the book, have ya'?

This is as far as I got.
I will always dismiss anything after a person claims to know the will of god.
IMO If there is a god/higher power then one can only perceive what the "will of God" is only in their own life. Even then it is foggy at best. Our own minds would interpret any "will" as to what we want to hear.

The other day a poster expressed how sad they were about the condition of mankind...their heart went out to God at how sad that he must be.

My response was...how do you know how God feels...maybe he perceives the world differently than we do.
You're experiencing a delusion, and your delusion is your problem.
To entertain your delusion is to enable your delusion.
Homey don't play that.
I personally don't perceive the delusion as the problem...only how we use that delusion.

We all have them in one way or another. I certainly do.

I "need" to see the beauty in the obscure and strange. I like to find messages in mud puddles...art in ant hills...treasures in a pile of junk...words that seem to come from within.

Is it all a delusion...I prefer to feel that it is inspired by some unknown higher power. In reality it might only be that I at times am able to find these things for myself.

To me...

It is not the delusion in its self...it is expecting everyone else to have the same delusion.

Speaking of that same delusion...that ant hill...intricate...delicate... such as a piece of old tattered lace.

Don't worry...I don't expect you to share my delusion! LOL

Don't even get me started on the naked trees...that one...I might condemn you to the fire pit if you can't see what I see!

:-)

Well...you can't blame clownie...he gets lost after about 5 words. Easier to just call something nutty than to admit his reading comprehension skills.

Talk about nutty...I actually defended his being delusional in my post...he was too nutty to realize it!
