Out of context and using only part of what I wrote. Another dishonest political tactic... Tsk, tsk, tsk... Or a tabloid journalist come to think of it...and... Authors of fallacies not in the Bible.
That's right G, I have the free will to choose my beliefs. I choose God :-)

Let's see what you know about Tertullian.

Were these paganism-filled writings of Tertullian's that you "read" generated before or after he embraced Montanism and was declared a heretic?

You naturaly know that some call him the father of Western Christianity, eh?

I would propose that you've only read what some Christian apologist wrote about Tertullian that probably included selected quotes.

Let's find out, shall we?

Or you can have another emotional meltdown. Either will be just as entertaining for the readers, I'm sure.
Nah. I'm not in an emotional meltdown mood today. Some do call him that yes, others, not so much. Some call the rcc True religion as well. Did you want to discuss his writings from when he was a pagan or from when he was a "Christian"? Also, if you believe he was a Christian then why do you believe his writings? That's really odd. I would proposed no, assert that you haven't got a clue what I have or haven't read.
Also, considering you only seem to accept literature by extians, tv, and theistic or pure atheists, don't you think your 'proposal'(assumption) is a tad redundant?

Thank you for my Kewpie doll, sooo cute!
ps Let me know if link doesn't work...:)
Very interesting.

Again, if I didn't know better, I would swear that you were describing the proto-orthodox.

Earliest Christian authors described gospel accounts simply as memoirs of the apostles. Wasn't Irenaeus the first person to associate John, Matthew, Mark and Luke with those four particular gospels? Or did you have an earlier reference?

(Please mention Papias)

Thanks for the cookies. It's officially Valentine's Day here. That's what you meant, right?

Sure it's easy to prove whether your prayer works or not.

I just wrote down a number between one and five thousand on a piece of paper.

Pray to your deity to tell you what that number is.

Let's prove whether your prayer works or not right here and now.

It's really easy.

<quoted text>I am not sure of the timeline but isn't Terturllian and Montanism responsible for the Trinity doctrine ?
Lol... So now Tertullian was Babylonian? Even though he was born 160 years after Christ's sacrifice and then translated Greek terms into Latin? Ok.
