*doink*
They still continue. There are some religions that believe we must earn our way to heaven. The largest "Christian" religion at that.

Maybe you're the one who needs to reread your source.
The Johannine letters say that docetists and others were antichrists (against Christ), they never mention THE Antichrist.
The Antichrist is a Christian invention not present in the biblical texts.
Check the facts and, again, you will find that I am correct.
No, I disagree. It is foretold through the prophets such as Daniel, first.

Very likely. How about yours?

Thanks for proving my point.
I'm afraid your point can't be proven. And it's a dull point at that. Points are most effectual when kept with a sharp edge. You might want to work on that.

if you open up X's link and read it, you will just be filling your head up with more lies. trash will go in, and trash will come out.
Reading both sides of an issue never frightened me...making up my own mind about something does not frighten me.

To add to this...believing differently than others also does not frighten me.

I am quite capable of reading both sides of an issue and determining for myself what is trash and what is not...at least as to how it relates to my own beliefs.

Thank you for your concern however.

So how would I verify these 'facts' that currently only seem like your interpretation?
Have you tried reading the Bible ?

The word 'antichrist' only appears in John's epistles.

Facts are easy to demonstrate and verify.

Yep.
The OT should have been dropped from their Bible. Would have given thema better case.
It's history. History is a needed element in our education. We must start at the beginning to enable us to reach the finish line.

I've gotten very little information out of 'preachers' to be honest, I don't trust them. I do trust the people I've learnt from more than I would trust people I don't know at all. So 'verifiable facts' need to be verified with something real. Mockery, opinions and interpretations don't prove or verify anything. But they're funny :-)
Let me clarify.

Where did you get these 'ideas' that are cleary not in the Bible itself ?

Correct.
Facts are verifiable, like the current example of me showing the readers, with your help of course, "the verifiable fact" that The Antichrist is not found within the texts of the Bible.
What you or I or anyone else thinks about those facts is immaterial, the facts is just the facts. The facts don't care, the simpy exist and can be verified, regardless of what anyone says about them.
It's irrelevant to my salvation anyway. The Antichrist is not required for Christ to do His will that He has prepared since the foundation of the world. There are certainly a sufficient number of antichrists, even within the religion, that a supreme Antichrist is not really required and will change nothing come Judgment Day. Religion likes to complicate God's Word and Salvation plan.

Daniel doesn't use the word antichrist either. In fact,'Christ' nor Jesus is mentioned in the OT or any other Jewish scripture.

You must be thinking of the old man in that book by Nabokov.

Then you accept the Sumerian originals as "the word of God", right ?

What about the hundreds of texts banned by Chrisitnaity ?

<quoted text>Interesting use of language, there.
Only among fundies can "humble" mean "arrogant", and "sheep" mean "leader"...
That's not at all what humble means to all. It is to lower oneself. That includes wealth, power, and many things The Church cannot claim they do not require. It's nearly the opposite in too many cases.

Sheep don't lead, they follow the Shepherd. There is but one. Again, The Church has made too many shepherds, and those are often the very ones that lead the sheep astray.
